Ex-KORN Guitarist BRIAN 'HEAD' WELCH Set To Launch Promotional Tour - Sep. 3, 2008
Former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch is launching a promo tour to celebrate the release of his debut solo album, "Save Me From Myself", due out September 9 on Driven Music Group (distribution by Ryko/Warner Music Group), the label he co-founded with music execs Greg Shanaberger and Mark Nawara. The first single, "Flush", is currently spinning on radio stations nationwide, including XM and Sirius, and it's currently available for purchase exclusively on iTunes.

At each stop along the tour route, Head will be signing copies of the album, as well as his autobiographies, "Save Me From Myself", which landed on the New York Times Bestseller list (non-fiction) and has sold over 70,000 copies since its release, and "Washed By Blood". The latter is an edited paperback version of "Save Me From Myself" aimed at a younger audience and doesn't contain the profanity and gory details of the original version. A paperback of the original "Save Me From Myself" is also available now.

The album was produced by Head, who recorded the music off and on for the past two years in Phoenix, Arizona. It features renowned musicians Tony Levin (PETER GABRIEL, DAVID BOWIE) and Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE, NINE INCH NAILS), and was mixed by Ralph Patlan and Bob Clearmountain. It's a testimony of Head's life as he battled with drug addiction and leaving KORN, and finding spirituality. It will leave no doubt in everyone's mind that Head, as a founding member of KORN, has not lost his passion for the heavy sound that originally helped make his former band famous. "Save Me From Myself" will remind listeners of Head's dominant influence in the nu-metal sound that projected KORN to the top of the music charts for over a decade. It can only be described as a heavy metal epic, with a positive message.

This album really sounds good, and reminds me a lot of the Untouchables/Issues era... I hope it doesn't flop next week...

Why the hatred? Because people are fed up with religious freaks like Head.

His album is really good. Now we now who was the driving force behind Korn.

Funny, I always thought they were more of unity when it comes to wrinting music...

I do agree he has gone a little overboard with all his God stuff but his music sounds pretty good.

...considering he isn't proud about his past life with Korn, does anybody know if he still accepts royalties from the band's cd's in which he has credits for and merchandising sold with his image or signature?

He's actually proud of his WORK in KoRn, just not all of the debauchery that was involved.

Another fucking whiny ass motherfucking kid on B'mouth. Don't we have enough yet Bori? Sad you can't tolerate others beliefs Rim job. I'd hate to see your life in 20 years when no one can stand your whiny ass comments and intolerance of others beliefs. Get used to being alone in Mom's basement.
On topic, Head's album fucking kills any of the last 4 korn cd's. He is proud of what he did in Korn BTW. He def wishes he could have some different choices but all the guys are still his brothers. You don't just throw away those kind of relationships b/c your beliefs change. Unless your rim job. But he;s pathetic so it doesn't really count.

I think Head is so full of sh**!!! I think his whole thing was breaking from Korn so he can go solo!! He had a voice and he wanted it to be heard. Good that he is clean, so he says. But take Jonathan Davis who got clean and he had worse sh** happen to him in his past that should of made him go crazy, but you didnt see him quiting the band and since Head was the co-founder of Korn why did he quit? I think he was just too weak!! I don't think Head is doing this for God, more like for himself to profit for himself. He always wanted to be famous and rich. How far would he go?? I read the book also, as far as I know he is no longer living in AZ, so did God tell him to move out of the desert and move back to Cali? Well he did say that he hoped God didn't want him to live in AZ for 40 years, guess that lasted 2yrs. So should I dare call him a fake yet?? How long will he go before heading back to Korn?? When will be the big reunion?? Seems they all wanted to dabble on solo hits. First Fieldy with his solo album which bombed big time, actually sucked; then Jonathan who did one also that sounded pretty cool (saw clips on UTUBE), he did some songs that he wrote for the "queen of the damn" movie, that was awesome; then we have Head, who uses God's name to profit from (which I hope he is being honest), now we there is Munky who will do a solo album, cant wait to see what that will sound like. Let's see if David will do anything, but I think he will just stick to his restaurants. I have read everyone's opinions on here, well here is mine. Head is full of crap!!!!!! I honestly hope he is being sincere, but he still seems way off his rocker!!!!
