NONPOINT Parts Ways With Guitarist - Sep. 3, 2008
South Florida's NONPOINT has issued the following update:

"NONPOINT is sorry to announce the departure of longtime friend and guitar player Andrew Goldman. Andy has decided to pursue interests outside the world of music. The entire band wish him nothing but success and happiness. NONPOINT has lined up a replacement and expect to have him make his debut on their next tour in October. Show dates for that run are expected to surface soon."

NONPOINT's fifth studio album, "Vengeance", was released in November via Bieler Bros. Records. The CD was recorded at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, FL with producer Matt LaPlant (SIKTH).

"Vengeance" is the follow-up to the acclaimed "To The Pain" CD, which featured the breakout single "Bullet With A Name".

NONPOINT R.I.P. 2000 - 2000

Statement was the only good album they ever did...

That's too bad. they have some catchy, killer riffs.
Although Vengeance was trash compared to To the Pain.

Sounds like the whole thing is pretty pointless or in other words... Is NonPoint a nicer way of saying dull ?

Recoil is up there with Statement...true story. Not quite as good though. Development was as much of a grower as you can get when it comes to albums. Anyways, wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't so thrilled w/ the direction the band was going. The vocals on both To The Pain and Vengeance are relatively awful compared to what Elias did in the past. He tried to get angry and all that happened was him sounding like a run of the mill hardcore singer.

ok so i went to the chicago show aug 14 when they opened up for sevendust and after the show i went to both sevendust's and nonpoint's tour bus and elias and rob from nonpoint were both like talking about somethin that had to deal with the band and it seemed very serious...now that i think about it it makes sense...this is very weird..i just saw them like a few weeks ago and now andy is gone..well i hope he does great in the future..

No way in hell do Elias' vocals make him sound like a "run of the mill hardcore singer"

If you truly think that you need to re-evaluate what it is that you consider hardcore music and hardcore vocals.

As a huge fan of Nonpoint, with 22 shows under my belt, I am truely sad to see Andy go. He was a huge part of everything that is Nonpoint, and one of the nicest guys out there to go with it (as they all are). Best of luck in all you do Andy. You will be missed!

COMMENT | Great live band....

More energy than most of the bands I've seen live and I've seen a fucking shit load in my time. Damn shame. Andy could get a fucking 30 inch vertical leap off the stage at some points it seemed. Wtf do they even do from here? I don;t see how you can replace him.

Yeah, that first album, Statement was pretty damn cool. When I saw Nonpoint a few years ago, Andy looked unhappy onstage and didn't move an inch. I guess this wasn't what he wanted to do anymore. I think I'll throw some Statement on now.
