ROBERT PLANT, ALISON KRAUSS Nominated For Country Music Award - Sep. 10, 2008
"Gone Gone Gone" from ROBERT PLANT & ALISON KRAUSS has been nominated in the "Musical Event of the Year" category at the Country Music Association Awards.

The association's annual awards will be presented November 12 on the ABC television network.

Plant and Krauss told Billboard.com in June that they are hoping to turn their platinum-certified, Grammy Award-winning "Raising Sand" album into a going concern.

"I'm in no hurry to go anywhere," Plant told Billboard.com. "I want to stay very close. This is a font of knowledge, and I'm sticking as close to it as I can."

Krauss concurred: "We're all having a wonderful time, and I hope and I think all three of us are hoping to continue this and that it go on and on." But she added that the duo's association shouldn't bring the curtain down on any of their other projects.

It's pretty impressive that they sold a million copies, especially with the industry where it is today. The songs are strong if you like that kind of music. Plant doesn't care about Zeppelin because he doesn't need the money and doesn't need them to stay relevant.

Agreed. Had a little listen earlier in the summer and liked it. Then saw them together at Bonnaroo. Honestly, one of the best shows I've ever been to.

"Of course Robert Plant would prefer a country award.
Since he's not once ever acknowledged metal at ALL over the years.
Let alone, made a metal album."

Tin Omen 07 again with his/her funny jokes.

LED ZEPPELIN were proto Heavy Metal. The pillars (Hard N' Heavy) of what you listen to now. They were the bluesy side of it, and with the heavy side of Black Sabbath they started to create the style you listen to nowadays.
You are welcome, retard.

plant is one of the nicest blokes in music as well.
and that album was actually quite good and atmospheric to the core.
I'm sure zeppelin will happen, maybe not this year, but i'm sure it will happen.
