SYMPHONY X Announces Shows In China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia - Sep. 23, 2008
Progressive metallers SYMPHONY X have announced the following dates in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia (venue details to be confirmed):

Feb. 13 - Beijing, China
Feb. 15 - Taipei, Taiwan
Feb. 17 - Kowloon, Hong Kong
Feb. 19 - Bangkok, Thailand
Feb. 21 - Jakarta, Indonesia

SYMPHONY X's latest CD, "Paradise Lost", sold around 6,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Paradise Lost" was released on June 26, 2007 via Inside Out Music. The CD was mixed by Jens Bogren (OPETH, SOILWORK, AMON AMARTH) at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden.

Fan-filmed video footage of SYMPHONY X performing live in Firenze, Italy in February 2008 can be viewed below.

Its a damn shame that Symphony X can't even sell 7,000 copies in their own country. This is exactly what is wrong with the US Metal scene. People go ape shit when the new Slipknot comes out, but then ignore a great band like Symphony X. Where is the justice. And I agree that SX at this point is more enjoyable than Dream Theater. I don't know why DT keeps on gouging their fans by releasing all those live albums / DVDs.
