GUNS N' ROSES' 'Chinese Democracy' Set For Release In November?

According to RollingStone.com, it is rumored that GUNS N' ROSES' long-awaited new album "Chinese Democracy" will be released exclusively through Best Buy on November 25. The source of the rumor is a supposed "vendor convention" that Best Buy had on Wednesday in Dallas, Texas. GUNS manager Andy Gould told the 900 employees the news about "Chinese Democracy" before previewing three songs from the album. Gould also reportedly revealed that the new GN'R song "If The World" will be featured in the closing credits for the upcoming Leonardo DiCaprio/ Russell Crowe film "Body of Lies", which was confirmed by message boarders on movie websites (like IMDB) who happened to catch a press screening of the film yesterday.

Granted this record has taken forever. But keep in mind how enormous the business aspect of this album is. Axl may have wanetd it out earlier (wrote the liner notes and wanted it out by Xmas 2006 is what I read) but it is not his decision at that point. Similar to movies pushed back a year or six months based on forecast for profit, etc.
With all the past members, producers, techs, session players, etc. over the past 14 years, the stack of contracts and agreements must be enormous. It must be a nightmare.

9 song leaks, plus Shackler's Revenge on Rock Band 2 (coming soon)
Granted they are leaks but the sound quality is better than Metallica's latest.

I've got 10 songs and none of them are anything special. As big a name as Guns N' Roses, and Axl Rose is, homeboy is gonna get dropped once his label makes their money back on this one. I'm sure they don't want to deal with his bullshit delays again.
The only thing that interests me about the actual album coming out is that I'll be able to see the liner notes, and see the longest list of song writing credits per song of all time! Theres probably going to be 15 co-writers on each song!!!
DIE AXL...at least get Izzy back.

....Best Buy probably paid a TONNE of money to be the exclusive retailer to sell this record. They probably see it as the most anticipated release of the decade, and you know what? Regardless of what all the Axl haters out there say, they are probably right. I don't care if Slash and Duff aren't in the band, half of said haters are going to go buy it anyway, just to check it out.
This seems like it was a deal that took a long time to hammer out, the record company wanting to recoup some of their losses with all of Axl's corn row expenses and all. I haven't believed one release date yet, but this one sounds like it's feasible, and explains why the extended release date push-backs.

People sure get upset about this.
Axl never said the record would be good, or impact the music scene as some here envision. The only quotes I remember from him were "the first thing people will think is it doesn't sound like Guns N Roses", "parts of it sound like Queen", and "there might be some songs people like".
He is a perfectiontist and has unlimited resources; that is the root cause of the time involved. Why rip on him for creating more music. Sensitive little girls.

Not that he HAS to put out the best album ever. I know he never said it would be the greatest thing.
But in teasing it back and forth so much he should damn well know that with all the time he's put into it that his (or should I say the real GNR's) fans are going to expect something pretty damn good at this point.
You supporters all claim "don't get mad he's just a perfectionist" well then with all this time he's spent 'perfecting' then the results better freakin be there if/whenever it comes out.
It has nothing to do with an artist's given right to timelines and has nothing to do with what he himself says about the final product. It's all about what he has let this whole circus production build up to at this point.
And yes the only reason he's around is because he owes $ and his label knows the robots and 40 year old O.G. fans will buy into his crap once it's ready to hit the streets.
I predict a tour to get everyone pumped for the album, only to have the tour end and still no album

I personally cannot wait to finally hear it. I'm Sure it will be awesome! Remember, this is the guy who gave us Sweet Child and November Rain.
True, he needs Duff and Slash but there are also a lot of talented people out there.
Axl is a genius, otherwise people wouldn't still be talking about him and this album! It's legendary already.

I remember this whole thing last year at this time. Then in early Nov. there will be rumors of Axl saying he will have it released before the new year. Though nothing will actually happen.
Besides from what I have heard of the new stuff it sounds more like a Prince album.

....when all you idiots are wrong. Of course it's been delayed. Of course it's been a ridiculous amount of money, and a ridiculous amount of time between UYI and CD, but so what? Does Axl give a FUCK about your opinion? I doubt it. It's also been 4 fucking years since the first Thornley record, which we're all eagerly anticipating, which Ian himself said was in the can over a year and a half ago, same with Hugh Dillon's new record. Fuck you guys, do you even know anything about the beurocratic bullshit that goes on in the music industry with relation to releasing music? No, you don't. Neither do I. Axl has gone through countless line up changes, world tours, song leaks, etc, so no wonder it's taken him so fucking long to get it out. Now, I'm not fucking Riot Act who loves everyone, I'm a fan, and sorry, jackass, whoever you were, but his show was not a joke, it was fucking awesome, but his record will come out when it comes out. And yes, there have been relase dates upon release dates. But WHEN do you recall any of these rumours being tied to a specific big name retailer? NEVER. So I'm pretty sure it's coming out.
And all you jackasses will be listening to it, whether you buy it or steal it online, when it does.
