DEFTONES: More Footage From 'Eros' Recording Sessions Posted Online - Sep. 26, 2008
Sacramento's DEFTONES has posted the third in a series of video clips from the recording sessions for the group's sixth studio album, titled "Eros". Watch it below.

DEFTONES' new album was recorded in Sacramento with producer Terry Date (SOUNDGARDEN, PANTERA) and engineer Scott Olson (UNEARTH).

DEFTONES debuted a brand new song, tentatively titled "Melanie", during the band's concert on September 18 at Spaceland in Silverlake, California.

The band's last CD, "Saturday Night Wrist", came out in October 2006 and its creation nearly resulted in the DEFTONES' demise. But Chino Moreno said, "Our working relationship is better than it's ever been before. As a result, everything has improved — our friendships and our lives. We're all really happy now."

I'd love if they went back to their "Adrenaline" sound.

But to do that chino needs to start doing coke again...and A LOT of it. He's getting fat.

COMMENT | Just wish they would release something already

But this looks really promising. I loved their self-titled and SNW, and to hear that this is more awesome than both of those albums is a win in my books

Deftones = the only band from the nu metal era that didn't try so hard to be noticed

They're using 8-string guitars there, I know Stephen Carpenter loves Meshuggah. Sweet.

The riff was on the Bob Ezrin demos 'Finger of Death' I think.
