It's Official: SEBASTIAN BACH Has 'Gone Country'; First Video Released
- Sep. 27, 2008
|
|
Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach was named the winner of the "Gone Country 2" celebrity competition during the show's one-hour finale which aired last night (Friday, September 26) on CMT. The contestants gave their final performances to determine the winner, which was decided by "Gone Country" host John Rich of the country duo BIG & RICH. Other members of "Gone Country"'s second-season cast were Grammy- and Academy Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Irene Cara; former "American Idol" fourth-season finalist Mikalah Gordon; former THE JACKSON 5 lead singer and 2007 "Celebrity Big Brother" UK houseguest Jermaine Jackson; ex- N SYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick; actor and former "Are You Hot?" judge Lorenzo Lamas; and actress Sean Young. Bach filmed a video for the song "One More Battle With The Bottle" with John Rich on September 11 in Hollywood, California. The clip was directed by Wayne Isham, who has a long video history working with METALLICA, QUEENSRŸCHE, JUDAS PRIEST, OZZY OSBOURNE, MÖTLEY CRÜE, BON JOVI, and DOKKEN, among others. Watch the video at CMT.com. "One More Battle With The Bottle" is a track that Bach penned with two Nashville songwriters — Vicky McGehee and Jeffrey Steele — and that he sang at the finale of "Gone Country 2". The show's second season followed a similar format to its first season, as each episode followed the cast as they competed against one another in challenges that tested their ability to musically and physically adapt to the country-crooner lifestyle. In addition, each cast member was paired with two Nashville songwriters, who assisted them in penning lyrics and music for a country single, which they then had the opportunity to perform. It's embarrassingly out of key. What a poor representation of a former rock voice.
As a redneck might proclaim: That shit ain't right.

Guess he needs the money.

bach is one of the greatest singers ever!
first 3 skid row albums no weak songs. frameshift no weak songs. angel down no weak songs. how many people have 5 great albums? he could have a bunch more too his voice is awesome.
of course i'm a fan of singers too, not just "tough" guys who sing 3 notes in one timbre.

and all you current skid row haters who were laughing at them doing a country song and their current singer having a country album , who's laughing now,!?!?!?!
i like both singers of skid row, but i hate it when people laugh at the current incarnation of the band, they are still kick ass.
sebastian just wants some attention, and more money, that's all, i actually like the song,
but i also like deicide and obituary, so i guess my range in music likings goes a ways, huh

Elmo..... If you knew anything about J S Bach you'd know that he actually died a good few years ago. Sadly, this Sebastian Bach is very much alive.

And he's not the only one...do you think Infernus' parents realy named him Infernus?? The list goes on and on of peope that use stage names.

you're an idiot.
Anyways, bach is just doing this to support his own music in the end. I think this shit is lame too, but he's doing it for the money so he can make another album eventually. I just dont know what he's going to do next. He's working with the hatebreed dude on songs, i think hatebreed really suck so i dont know whats wrong with bach, and on bachs myspace, it says he is "screamo" does he know how pathetic screamo music is? he shouldnt label him self as that.

Obviously you haven't heard Hank III and his band Assjack.
And back on topic: The sort of country that is presented in this TV-program, and which is apparently very big on the radio, isn't actually country. As with every other type of real music, all the heart and soul have been removed and replaced with bland generic stereotypes. Shania Twain? Montgomery Gentry? Big and Rich? Fucking hell... Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Hank Sr/Jr/III, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Buck Owens, Waylon, Willie, Emmylou Harris, Gram Parsons, Steve Earle and Alison Krauss. THAT'S country music. Don't let anyone fool you that the music presented in "Gone Country" is actually country.
