LED ZEPPELIN Drummer JASON BONHAM Puts UK Home On Market - Sep. 27, 2008
According to Mirror.co.uk, LED ZEPPELIN drummer Jason Bonham put his £1.4 million (approximately $2.6 million) UK country house up for sale yesterday — amid rumors the band are preparing for a world tour.

Jason, 42, son of the late John Bonham, the original drummer, put his 5,700 sqaure foot pad on the market ready for a move to Florida.

The seven-bed house, with three acres, in Burlingham, Worcs, is up for £1.35 million. His estate agent said: "He loves it and doesn't want to sell, but it's impractical with spending time overseas."

In an August 2008 interview with Jim Johnson and Lynne Woodison of the Detroit rock station 94.7 WCSX, Jason Bonham revealed that he had been meeting up with LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones in recent months and that they'd been "trying to do some new material and writing."

"I've been over [to England] a couple of times," Bonham said. "I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do ... some new material and some writing. I don't know what it will be, but it will be something. At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material. When I get there, I never ask any questions. If I get a phone call to go and play, I enjoy every moment of it. Whatever it ends up as, to ever get a chance to jam with two people like that, it is a phenomenal thing for me. It's my life. It's what I've dreamed about doing."

He added that was still too early to tell what will become of these "jam" sessions, but admitted that the "possibility of doing something is in the cards. I really felt it was in the cards from the moment we walked offstage at the [LED ZEPPELIN reunion concert at] O2 [in London in December 2007]."

In todays Toronto Sun they are reporting that Robert Plant has agreed to a World Tour in 2009!!! It goes on to say that the other members had already found a "really talented" singer since Plant wasn't on board and were working out a tour. It goes on to say that once Plant realized they were doing it with or without him, he came around to the idea.

The title is misleading. Jason Bonham has played drums for Led Zeppelin. He is NOT the Led Zeppelin drummer.

That article doesn't make sense.

He is selling a house in England so he can move to Florida.

But he's been writing and practicing in England with the 'real' members of Led Zepplin.

Why move to Florida? frequent flyer miles? hoping to cash in on insurance after the next hurricane?

Toronto has 3 newspapers, not tabloids, and the Sun is the #1 newspaper. In fact it is bought by millions all over Ontario because it is soo good.

Okay.... Truth is that it's a "rag" not a credible newspaper. That's not just my opinion but general fact.. Canadians know this but I thought I'd share for the rest of the global population. Don't get your hopes up based on this paper's information. Sorry...

picking up a London Sun article...

It will be interesting to see how much they charge for tickets here in the U.S., with the economy being a sh*t sandwich. But if AC/DC can get around $100 a pop and sell out arenas in minutes, then the mighty Zep can charge whatever the hell they want.

I think this is gonna happen....start saving your $$$$$$$$

When was Jason Bonham made the drummer of Led Zeppelin ? Yeah, he did a few gigs with them which I thought was great being that he is the son of THE LED ZEPPELIN DRUMMER !!!!! And he is a kickass drummer. Nothing against Jason but he is a hired gun who plays / played with a billion bands. Because of the few things he's done with the remaining members of Zep does not hand him the keys to the kingdom.

If there is a tour and / or album that he is involved with, that is a different story.

COMMENT | Fuck these guys.
