GEMINI FIVE Guitarist Quits, CRASHDIET's MARTIN SWEET Steps In - Sep. 29, 2008
Stockholm, Sweden-based rockers GEMINI FIVE have issued the following update:

"Lead guitarist Dee Dee [Dany Douglas] has very rapidly decided to leave the band due to illness and private/personal reasons. His decision is understandable and accepted by the other bandmembers. This is, however, something we could not predict and therefore some 'last-minute actions' need to be considered. The show [on Saturday] September 27 in Sundsvall, Sweden is forced to be postponed 'til later and the in-store acoustic appearance at Heron City in Stockholm is unfortunally cancelled!!! The Stockholm show at Tantogården on Wednesday, October 1 is still on thanks to Martin Sweet of CRASHDIET, who is filling in temporarily on lead guitar. Stay tuned for more news and updates regarding the situation. We're very sorry for all the inconvenience."

GEMINI FIVE released its third album, "Sex Drugs Anarchy", on May 2. The CD was produced by bandmembers Hot Rod and Tin Star and was recorded and mixed at the Stappenwolf Studio in Stockholm, Sweden between October 2007 and January 2008. Guest musicians on the album include CRASHDIET's Martin Sweet (lead guitar on three tracks and backing vocals), Peter London (backing vocals) and Eric Young (backing vocals); and Marcus Jidell of Danish/Swedish hard rockers ROYAL HUNT (lead guitar on three tracks). Kory Clarke (WARRIOR SOUL, SPACE AGE PLAYBOYS) co-wrote the lyrics on four tracks.

"Sex Drugs Anarchy" features 11 songs, including the title track, "Scream 4 Me", "Blood On The Bricks", "I Am Hollow", "All Pistols" and "Lay Your Money Down".

Commented bassist/vocalist Hot Rod, "This is a huge step to finally have it your AND our way. No compromises whatsoever! Street-gutter-metal-sleaze. Our strength has always been our explosive live performances! By this album there is no gap between of how we deliver either way. The energy on this album is something you can touch and a sensation you can't deny. We're the defenders of the raw and sleazy hard rock, which has always been cool!!!"

GEMINI FIVE previously released two full-length albums: "Babylon Rockets" (2003) and "Black:Anthem" (2005).

The latest album is great!! Shame the guitarist had to leave, if i remember martin sweet is currently doing nothing with crashdiet having no singer and all, so he could do both bands until a new singer is found. Crashdiet are incredible, probably my favourite from the newer era of sleaze. R.I.P. Dave

Sex Drugs Anarchy is an awesome album, I hope they keep going and are able to hit North America sometime soon. These guys are very good.
