When the house lights go down this fall, a new generation of guitarists, drummers and fearless frontmen will come together and rock with Guitar Hero World Tour. The latest installment in the #1 best-selling video game franchise of 2007, Guitar Hero World Tour transforms music gaming by expanding Guitar Hero's signature guitar gameplay into a cooperative band experience that combines the most advanced wireless controllers with new revolutionary online* and offline gameplay modes including Band Career and 8-player "Battle of the Bands," which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online for the first time ever. The game features a slick newly redesigned guitar controller, drum kit controller and a microphone, as well as an innovative Music Studio music creator that lets players compose, record, edit and share their own rock 'n' roll anthems. Music creators will also be able to share their recordings with their friends online through GHTunesSM where other gamers can download and play an endless supply of unique creations.

Guitar hero is lame. It's a glorified version of tetris. Any chimpanzee can waggle a little knob in front of a tv.

Get a real guitar, a decent practice amp and learn a few blues scales and away you go. A much more rewarding experience.

Wow, I can't believe I'm still reading those "Play the guitar for real instead of this game" comments...goddamn, get over it !!

IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME THING !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been playing real guitar for 22 years and I can still enjoy this game...I must be weirtd as hell then!! It's a freakin' game, enjoy it for what it is and play real guitar if you want to for what it is also.

It's not supposed to be a guitar learning tool...IT'S A GAME!! Can't people just play a game once in a while without it being anything else. It's like saying to all those who play sports game "just play real baseball or hockey or whatever instead". I'm betting people can do both in sports game too!

Peace out!!

Impetus - they're called elitists, man... The guy just wants to show everyone else that he can play guitar, and thinks people who can't are lame. I agree with you 100%; I've been playing guitar for a while and I still love this game. It's because you and I allow ourselves to enjoy what we like instead of trying to do what others will think is cool... It's just a game. Football players play Madden, Basketball players play whatever basketball game is the most popular (hell if I know, I don't play any), and etc.

I think this game will be pretty good, although I certainly don't like the lack of GOOD international music... Hopefully DLC will save that aspect
