AC/DC: Stockholm Show Sells Out In Record-Breaking 11 Minutes; Second Date Added - Oct. 11, 2008
Australian hard rock legends AC/DC have added a second show in Stockholm, Sweden due to overwhelming demand. Tickets to the band's initial date, February 20 at Globen, reportedly sold out in a record-breaking 11 minutes after they went on sale at 10:00 a.m. today (Saturday, October 11), prompting the group to announce another show at the same venue for February 22. Tickets to the second concert were released at 10:20 a.m. and reportedly were gone within 24 minutes.

A new AC/DC track entitled "War Machine" is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The song comes off the Australian hard rock legends' first studio album in eight years, "Black Ice", which will arrive on October 20 and will sold exclusively at Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and ACDC.com in the U.S. All three plan multiple promotional campaigns aimed at the group's millions of fans.

AC/DC's first new single in eight years, "Rock 'N Roll Train", hit the band's web site and radio stations on August 28.

AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. The band has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, including 69 million in the U.S. alone.

"No Bull: The Director's Cut", a chronicle of the band's famed July 1996 concert at the Plaza De Toros De Las Ventas in Madrid, Spain, was released on DVD and Blu-ray September 9.

Personally, I started losing interest in AC/DC after Flick of The Switch.
I noticed Johnson's voice had starting fading REAL bad over the last 15 years.
Does it still sound like he is in pain while he sings??

Brian's voice sounds great. Sure, he may hit some rough patches every now and again, but show me one singer who can pull of an extensive world tour that this doesnt happen to.
Much less, one thats 61 years old!!

AC/DC will rock hard for another 10 years. They have earned the right to do so. Legends...fucking Legends.

I got myself 3 standing tickets to the first show. I was first in line. It was the moist chaotic ticket release I have ever seen. The second show came as a surprise to everyone there. Happy news for those who just had missed tickets to the first show.

Even Dio's voice is not bulletproof.
I saw him twice last year, and yes, he sounded amazing, but far from flawless.

Brian and Ronnie are noth Masters of their Craft.
Anyone who does not show respect to these two is just ignorant.

HIGH VOLTAGE ROCK & ROLL

Johnson "breaks" his natural voice to sound like Bon Scott, right?
I can try and break my voice to sound like that but I can't last one minute at it. Who cares if he's not Bon Scott? It's not like we can ask Bon to come back.

Bottom line is that bands can do what they want.

I am not a big fan of Rogers + Queen, so what, I'm not gonna stop listening to Queen. I'm not gonna stop listening to ACDC.

I'm not a big fan of Brain but I thought Back in Black was great record and still love it to death.. That record was written and was just waiting for Bon to put down the vocals, I'd love to hear what that would have sounded like....
I was lucky enough to ACDC at the Paladium in NYC with Bon Scott. It was one most memorable show that I've been to.. I was also able to meet Bon Malcom and Angus after the show outside their hotel... Great guys very cool and real short........

Agree with you 100%, both vocalists and their groups are all legends, anyone who denies that is an ignorant dumbass. Moreover, I prefer Dio and Bon Scott to Brian, but that´s my personal opinion, right?

Blabberhead: WE ALL would have loved to have listened to Bon in BIB, but we´ll never know sadly.

Who fucking cares if Brian, Dio or Hagar hits the notes!? Who cares about flawless rock anyway!? The day rock becomes flawless, then rock dies.
Rock is all about attitude and rock the shit out of shit. I fucking hate flawless rock. Dream Theater is fucking geeky pussy-rock.

Rock should be just to get the message out on the most dirty way. And that is Brian Johnson an expert on!
