DIECAST: New Song Posted Online - Oct. 14, 2008
Boston metalcore band DIECAST has posted a new song entitled "Disconnect" on its MySpace page. The track is expected to appear on the group's fifth album, tentatively due in 2009.

DIECAST wrapped up the "Internal Revolution" touring campaign last fall with their first headlining U.S. tour in over three years. The two-month trek included EKOTREN and MOWER in the support slots.

DIECAST greatly expanded its already diehard fan base after two massive North American tours alongside SEVENDUST, in addition to breaking through to Active Rock radio with the "Fade Away" and "Nothing I Could Say" singles.

DIECAST's "Fade Away" video:

Blue Skies was an excellent disc, still in regular rotation for me.

The last disc, however, wasn't as agressive and a bit of a stray from the hardcore/metal hybrid that the previous release had. It wasn't a bad release, I just don't listen to it all that much.

This new track sounds promising. Their developing a unique sound, which isn't a bad thing. We'll see what the next disc sounds like before I pass judgement.

Diecast hasn't been good since "Day Of Reckoning".

diecast has sucked since their original singer left the band. it's just been member after member leaving since then, and the music they're putting out is just a joke compared to their first two releases and their earlier demos.

I thought Internal Revolution was an excellent album, albeit not as good as Blue Skies. It's still better than most metalcore releases. I miss their old sound, but I'm still really enoying their new stuff, and that includes Disconnect. Not one of their best, but it's good shit. I hope the rest of the album is going to be heavier, though.
