GUNS N' ROSES Hunts UK Agency To Push Long-Awaited Album

UK's MarketingWeek.co.uk reports that GUNS N' ROSES is seeking an advertising agency to promote its long-awaited next album in a major break from music industry tradition. Sources suggest that Universal Music has already contacted several London advertising hotshops to launch a marketing communications program ahead of the global release of "Chinese Democracy" on November 25. The move is the latest in a string of new initiatives by the music industry to encourage people to continue buying music, particularly albums, rather than illegally downloading or just buying singles for 79p. The chorus of the newest leak is freakin insane! I take back all the things I said about Axl and what hes been doing for 17 years. His is clearly the work of genius:

I predict this record will exceed two million units sold (not shipped) within 30 days of it's release - it will top or at least come close to a total of three million units sold by this year's end.

November eh? what year was that again? 2008?
Isn't that what we heard around this time last year?
The year before?
The only song from this record that I've heard if the "mastered demos" or whatever leaked was any indication of where this was going was called "Better"
Everything else was horrid for the most part.
The true songwriters in this once legendary in their own time band have long moved on to lesser not so legendary bands.
Unless Izzy Stradlin's writing riffs (and hell, better yet, playing on it), then there's no hope for any return to true Guns N' Roses form.
