ROB ZOMBIE Talks 'Tyrannosaurus Rex': 'I Haven't Even Written The Script Yet' - Oct. 28, 2008
According to The Pulse of Radio, Rob Zombie told Fangoria Radio on Friday (October 24) that despite Dimension Films announcing an August 28, 2009 release date for his next film as a director, "Tyrannosaurus Rex", he still has quite a bit of work to do first. Zombie revealed, "I haven't even written the script yet. All I have is one sentence."

Zombie described the movie as being about "the biggest bad-ass fighting even badder-ass motherfuckers."

All three of Zombie's previous movies have been relatively low-budget projects, with the rocker-turned-filmmaker telling The Pulse of Radio he prefers it that way. "There's sort of a certain budget that is the 'they'll leave you alone'budget," he said. "For a long time it was always like 15 million dollars. 15 million and under is considered, 'Leave 'em alone, let 'em make their movie.' Once you start getting over that budget, everyone gets involved, and everyone's got an opinion, because they start getting worried. And once you get up into a 100 million dollar budget, that's a lot of money to put on the line, so nobody wants to risk anything. They want to play it safe because they've got all that money invested."

Zombie has also been putting the finishing touches on his animated film, "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto", and is hosting AMC's "Fearfest" horror movie marathon this week to celebrate Halloween.

He is also working on his fourth solo studio album and recently announced that the long-awaited WHITE ZOMBIE box set will arrive on November 25.

Rob Zombie's new song "War Zone", taken from the soundtrack of the upcoming movie "Punisher: War Zone", is now streaming at PunisherWarZoneMovie.com, the action flick's official website. The soundtrack, which also features songs from SEETHER, SLIPKNOT, RISE AGAINST and others, comes out on November 25 while the movie hits screens on December 5. The film is the second based on the Marvel comic book about an embittered vigilante named Frank Castle. The previous film, which starred Thomas Jane and John Travolta, did not fare well at the box office.

Ha... they made the poster before the script. This looks like it could be cool, though. Sort of Tarantino-ish

Rob Zombie is a biter, he rips off old horror movies and makes them gory. I guess that is what makes a genius to the cretins that worship him. Give him props when he does something original.
