GENE SIMMONS Earns $500,000 For Charity On 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?'

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons was a guest on last night's (Friday, November 7) all-new episode of Fox's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" As his popular family looked on, Gene rocked the test and spirited fans cheered him on this atypical game show that tests adults' lack of knowledge as revealed by how much they've forgotten since elementary school. Simmons earned $500,000 for the Glazer Pediatrics AIDS Foundation but he declined on the $1,000,000 question that came from fifth-grade science. The question was, "What does the K represent on the Periodic Table of Elements?" If he would have answered the question, his answer would have been Krypton, which was incorrect. The correct answer was Potassium.

I like him. He has a degree, he speaks five languages, he loves his family, he's a good dad, he looked cool in the seventies which would have been dificult. There's lots to like. Charity doesn't hurt either.

I didn't know Gene Simmons had it in him to pretend not be a douchebag for charity. Good for him. Its still not gonna protect him from all the bad karma he has coming, but way not to be a fuck for three minutes of your life.

There's a difference. Gene was sporting the sign language symbol for I Love You (has index finger extended out) where as Dio tossed out the horns AKA Evil Eye which is very similar to the UT (University of Texas Hook' Em Horns symbol). The horns symbol has the thumb against the two middle fingers.
Dio has stated in interviews his Grandmother would throw down the symbol to ward off evilness...
I watched the episode which was pretty funny. Fifi Larue was decked out and in the audience.
