MOTÖRHEAD Song Featured In DISNEY Movie - Nov. 18, 2008
On November 21, Walt Disney Pictures will release "Bolt", starring the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus, and featuring MOTÖRHEAD's song "Dog-Face Boy" from the band's "Sacrifice" album. The song is in a mailroom scene where a young worker is listening to it on his headphones and inadvertently wraps super-dog Bolt up in a box that gets shipped off to New York City.

Stranger things have happened, as Disney isn't the first to pick up on the MOTÖRHEAD mystique: there was a MOTÖRHEAD song in the "SpongeBob SquarePants" movie, too. Just goes to show you that there are MOTÖRHEAD fans of all ages everywhere. And says Lemmy, the band's indestructible and renowned leader, "It's never too early to get the kids started on our music!"

MOTÖRHEAD and SOCIAL DISTORTION have been tapped to headline the inaugural 25-city Samsung Mobile Musink Tattoo and Music Festival, which will also feature popular tattoo artist and cable TV personality Kat Von D on all dates.

An official itinerary is still in the works, but the North American trek will visit arenas, exhibition halls and convention centers beginning January 30 in San Francisco.

But then again, I cheered even when they played Led Zep's Immigrant Song in Shrek 3, so I'm not hard to please...

Lemmy just has a crush on and want's to pound the vagina of Minnie Mouse. He's probably gonna get her drunk at the premiere telling her all about how "This Mickie is no Mouse bitch drink up"

Great song, but mighty obscure - someone involved must be a HUGE fan. Good! These kids need to hear some REAL rock n roll!

I Am The Sword is also a badass song. Bastards is probably their finest hour (and yet so few people have heard it!).

Spongebob is fucking awesome. That show also used Pantera's "Death Rattle" before (re-titled as "pre-hibernation"), but I didn't know about Motorhead being featured.

I remember hearing Proud to be Loud (off Power Metal) by Pantera in the Mighty Ducks 2 movie. I want to say it was the second one. The scene has the kid (don't know his name) doing his homework and listening to a walk man. It's early in the movie... I saw this like back in 93 or so. I know I was the only person in that theater that recognized the song...

I'll second Kissfan77's opinion and wonder if this is atonement for Disney's past censoring/blacklisting of metal bands at its venues. Unless Motorhead are being marketed as the new Jonas Brothers for Disney......

You beat me to it!

I love the Spongebob Movie, and the scene at the Thug Tug where they play Motorhead is classic. So many funny parts in that movie and at the very end they do a "Goofy Goober Rock" take off on Twisted Sister's I Wanna Rock and it's fuckin badass. The solo is actually nasty in it. Sacrifice is a really overlooked album. I like Bastards but Sacrifice was a great follow up, really agressive.

It's nice to see Lemmy and the boys make a few bucks. They're aren't getting any younger and I haven't seen them on mtv cribs. I agree with Lemmy, kids need to be introduced to good music early. It's the only thing that will save us from boy band hell.

BTW

Disney owns a bar?!?!?!?! WTF
