GUNS N' ROSES Not Bringing 'Democracy' To China

Dean Goodman of Reuters reports: GUNS N' ROSES fans in China will have to go underground to get their hands on a copy of the band's first album in 17 years, "Chinese Democracy", which will be released worldwide on Sunday, November 23. The rock band's Geffen Records label said on Friday, "It is unlikely we will be approved to release the album in Mainland China." China's culture ministry has the final say on such matters, although rampant piracy makes the job difficult. Its decisions sometimes seem to lack consistency. Read the entire report from Reuters.

Im tired of hearing about how Slash,and Duff and Matt and its not GnR.If you fucking tards remember that slash left the band becase he didnt like where the band was going. So he went to VR and now they chased of another frontman.
Its not axls fault that the all left so quit blaming him.As for the CD good job axl I bought 3.Matt needs to keep his mouth shut he wasent even a original band member!

whether its 100% guns or not in peoples mind, axl made a great guns n roses record. a logical progression from illusion records, the only shame being izzy, duff, slash and er, steven are on the outside looking in. a great record. so good to hear finally.

1. Bootleg copies of Chinese Democracy will reach 100 million people. Axl won't make a dime, but what the hell.
2. You guys that aren't theiving pieces of shit will have the cd in your hands tomorrow, and this stupid argument about which weirdo plays which solo?
Damn, I just got an e-mail from Best Buy that my cd will be ready for in store pickup tomorrow. This is actually happening.

1. Royalties: I doubt seriously that Axel would want Buckethead getting any.
2. Ron Thal: He sounds very very similar in style to Buckethead, thus why he got the gig for GNR's and I actually think he's a better player too.
3. Axel's ego: Kinda relates back to point 1 but again I very much doubt unless any of you have the writing credits and actually know who was on the record and who recorded what, that Axel would want Buckethead on the record. Ron Thal is more than capable of playing like Buckethead and taking it up a notch. Dont believe me then go and watch some Bumblefoot vids on Youtube.

AXL is GNR. GNR's Chinese Democracy is highly anticipated while Velvet Revolver was dropped from their label. Every album Slash has been involved with since leaving GNR has been insignificant and unoriginal. Who cares about Duff and Matt Sorum. Any song that DUff and Sorum contributed to suck anyway. Good riddance. Lets get used to seeing the NEW GUNS N ROSES. They deserve some respect for this record.

I work in a music store in Canada (where the best buy exclusive does not apply) and we received the cd yesterday, I spent about half an hour looking at the credits (there are 6 pages of them) and Buckethead is credited for guitar and solos on something like 12 of the songs. He's even credited with 2 or 3 compos, and his picture is in the booklet, plus he even has his own thanks section. So I suggest to all the whiners to get their facts straight before posting their bullshit.
Oh yeah, and by the way, tomorrow will be our busiest day in ages...

there's an interesting article in the wall street journal (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122728243679848085.html)
about how people in china are taking the album. It sucks for fans that wanna hear the album and can't even talk about it online without using code words.
PLUS, its really funny seeing Axl's pic sketched all business like next to the article.
