DEICIDE, VITAL REMAINS: First U.S. Dates Revealed - Dec. 11, 2008
Florida-based death metal veterans DEICIDE and VITAL REMAINS will team up for a package tour in early 2009. The two bands will bring their infamous live performances to major markets across the United States in February. Support on all dates will come from ORDER OF ENNEAD — the Florida extreme metal band featuring Steve Asheim (drums; DEICIDE), Scott Patrick (bass; RESURRECTION), Kevin Quirion (guitar, vocals; COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) and John Li (guitar) — and ADRIFT, the Tampa-based heavy rock band featuring Jack Owen of DEICIDE/CANNIBAL CORPSE fame.

So far the following dates have been confirmed:

Feb. 08 - Farmingdale, NY - Club Loaded
Feb. 14 - Detroit, MI - Harpos
Feb. 16 - Aurora, CO - Iliff Park Saloon
Feb. 17 - Salt Lake City, UT - Club Vegas
Feb. 18 - Farmington, NM - Big City Nightclub
Feb. 20 - San Jose, CA - Voodoo Lounge
Feb. 21 - Yucaipa, CA - Angels Roadhouse
Feb. 22 - W. Hollywood, CA - Key Club

DEICIDE recently tapped Kevin Quirion from ORDER OF ENNEAD as its new touring guitarist. Quiron made his live debut with DEICIDE on September 13 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Fan-filmed footage of that performance can be viewed below.

On August 25 in Europe and September 2 in the U.S., Earache Records reissued "Scars Of The Crucifix", the classic 2004 album from DEICIDE, as part of the Earache Classic Series. "Scars Of The Crucifix" was reissued with a bonus DVD, featuring a never-before-seen live show filmed in Nottingham, UK in 2003. "Scars Of The Crucifix" was the last DEICIDE album with guitarists Brian and Eric Hoffman, and this exclusive DVD will be the first and only official DVD release to feature the brothers!

DEICIDE's latest album, "Till Death Do Us Part", sold 2,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It is the follow-up to "The Stench of Redemption", which registered a first-week tally of 4,000 back in 2006.

You guys should play Canopy Club at Urbana, IL. It's the best small-city to play in the Midwest.

Do NOT attend this show if it comes to your area. We all know the state of the economy is tough right now and this is a no-brainer. Save your hard-earned money for something else.

There is a real good chance that if you spend your money on attending this show, Glen will disappoint (as usual) if even show up at all.

Do yourself a favor and take the money you would spend on this show and get yourself a shake at Dairy Queen. At DQ, you'll at least get your money's worth. It will be a wise decision. You can thank me later.

Please, make a stop at THE PALLADIUM, home of the NEW ENGLAND HARDCORE AND METAL FESTIVAL, in Massachusetts. It would be my dream come true: 2 of my favorite death metal bands, together!

I bought the concert ticket for the Rhode Island date, on Friday, February 6th, and made arrangements with the nearest hotel, so my wife and kids could stay there, while I attended the concert of my dreams.
Then I received a call from the ticket company, telling me that the concert was moved to a Monday. A FUCKING MONDAY. I asked her why the sudden change, and she replied that she didn't know.
I didn't wanted to believe what is written here, that Glen Benton likes to do these things, but I'm having second thoughs.
THANKS FOR NOTHING.
