Guitarist BERNIE TORMÉ Interviewed For RANDY RHOADS Documentary - Dec. 18, 2008
Guitarist Bernie Tormé (OZZY OSBOURNE, GILLAN, GUY-MCCOY-TORME) was recently interviewed by director Peter M. Margolis of Dakota Films for the upcoming long-awaited documentary film on the life of celebrated rock guitarist Randy Rhoads.

Margolis and his team came to interview Tormé at his studio in Kent, U.K. Bernie spoke of his experiences when he stood in to replace guitarist Randy Rhoads on the "Blizzard Of Ozz" tour following Randy's untimely tragic death in 1982.

Three years in the making, this documentary — which is being made with the co-operation of the Rhoads family — highlights interviews with those closest to Randy as well as reveals never-before-seen photos and footage of Randy throughout his life. Tentative release date for the film is September 2009.

In 1982, Rhoads, the then-lead guitarist for OZZY OSBOURNE, and two others were killed at Flying Baron Estates, just outside Leesburg, Florida, when their small plane struck Osbourne's tour bus, then crashed into a mansion.

The documentary will NOT come out on September 2009! That is the time the film will have to be done before and submitted to the Sundance Film Festival. Expect a mid 2010 straight to DVD or theater release.

If your a RR fan and want up to date posts about the film, I recommend going to www.randyrhoads.tk

Yes, he was using Randy's rig. There's a book called "The Battle For Black Sabbath" where he talks about his gear getting stuck in transit, and how freaked out he was having to use Randy's rig, how he didn't know it real well, and he could swear pedals were turning on & off on their own during the show, which freaked him out even more.
