DOPE To Release 'No Regrets' In March - Dec. 31, 2008
DOPE's long-awaited fifth album, "No Regrets", will be released on March 10, 2009 via Koch Records. The band will be shooting videos for a few tracks off the CD in New Jersey on January 8-10. The guys are looking for a "bad-ass chopper" and a a large boa constrictor or a python to feature in one of the videos.

DOPE will be on tour with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and SEVENDUST all spring long.

Vocalist and guitarist Edsel Dope, alongside Virus, has revitalized DOPE's lineup on "No Regrets". Joining them on bass and backing vocals is Tripp Tribbet, formerly frontman of TWISTED METHOD, who also happens to be the younger brother of MUDVAYNE/HELLYEAH guitarist Greg Tribbet. On drums, DOPE recruited former GENITORTURERS drummer Angel Bartolotta.

Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) lent his signature guitar squeals to DOPE on the new track "Addiction".

DOPE has released four albums since signing with Epic in 1998, and has sold over 500,000 CDs. Their most recent CD, 2005's "American Apathy", debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart as well as #1 on the Billboard Independent Album chart.

Dope 's music doesn't have much substance? That's a bit of an understatement. Seriously, their lyrics sound like they're written by a pre-pubescent 13 year old kid.

"...and has sold over 500,000 CDs."

So, basically these guys have sold half of what Cannibal Corpse has and yet Dope gets airplay while CC does not. Huh....

"If we go on it's now or never" Um, it's never.

Cannibal Corpse has more talent in one song then Dope does. Comparing a death metal band and a shitty nu-metal band is impossible. These guys are just mainstream kiddie metal bullshit.

Zakk really kicks ass, but Virus is amazing in his own right. Sure didn't need Zakk's help, but should be killer...
