DEICIDE Signs Worldwide Deal With CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS - Jan. 5, 2009
Florida death metal veterans DEICIDE have inked a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records. The band has been working on its new album at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Mark Lewis (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, CHIMAIRA) and is looking at a summer release.

Bassist/vocalist Glen Benton states: "I want to say it is an honor to be an official Century Media artist. I look forward to working with the fine folks at CM and providing them with our style of metal. I can ensure you that what surfaces will definitely be nothing less than a total bash-your-face-in-from-start-to-finish, bastard. HAIL SATAN!!!!"

Drummer Steve Asheim comments: "I'm happy to be a part of the Century Media family and look forward to working with them. The new DEICIDE material in the works should be a good way to kick off the new deal. It's a totally sick new record with a totally sick new label, but the same ol' sick DEICIDE. See you all in 2009 and hold onto your balls!"

Guitarist Jack Owen adds: "It is an honor and a pleasure to sign with one of the most established metal labels on the planet. Century Media's track record speaks for itself, and we can't wait to unleash this beast of a new DEICIDE album through the mighty Century Media! Many thanks to Kevin Astl and Steve Joh for their long hours bringing this deal to full fruition!"

DEICIDEBenton, Asheim, Owen and session guitarist Ralph Santolla (OBITUARY, ex-ICED EARTH, DEATH) — is about to kick off the "Winterfest 2009" European tour with SAMAEL, VADER, DEVIAN, ORDER OF ENNEAD and THE AMENTA.

Santolla was a member of DEICIDE between 2005 and 2007. He played on the 2006 album "The Stench of Redemption" and he made a guest appearance on last year's "Till Death Do Us Part".

DEICIDE last summer announced that Kevin Quirion from ORDER OF ENNEAD had joined the band as its new touring guitarist. Quiron made his live debut with DEICIDE on September 13 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

DEICIDE and VITAL REMAINS will team up for a package tour in early 2009. The two bands will bring their infamous live performances to major markets across the United States in February. Support on all dates will come from ORDER OF ENNEAD — the Florida extreme metal band featuring Steve Asheim (drums; DEICIDE), Scott Patrick (bass; RESURRECTION), Kevin Quirion (guitar, vocals; COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) and John Li (guitar) — and ADRIFT, the Tampa-based heavy rock band featuring Jack Owen of DEICIDE/CANNIBAL CORPSE fame.

On August 25, 2008 in Europe and September 2 in the U.S., Earache Records reissued "Scars Of The Crucifix", the classic 2004 album from DEICIDE, as part of the Earache Classic Series. "Scars Of The Crucifix" was reissued with a bonus DVD, featuring a never-before-seen live show filmed in Nottingham, UK in 2003. "Scars Of The Crucifix" was the last DEICIDE album with guitarists Brian and Eric Hoffman, and this exclusive DVD will be the first and only official DVD release to feature the brothers!

"Till Death Do Us Part" sold 2,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Earache sucks. I bought the rerelease of Cathedral's Carnival Bizarre about a year ago, and see that they rerereleased it with a dvd just a little while ago. SCREW YOU EARACHE.

YOU WANT STENCH OF REDEMPTION PART TWO?

You obviously haven't heard Till Death Makes Us Fart yet. They just took the beautiful sound of SoR and fucked it up.

Grow up, Benton you asshole, and give us a REAL Deicide record.

Too bad they joined deicide. Actually I like Deicide. however, I havent bought an album since Once upon the cross. I just dont like Glen Benton, that is one man that should shut the fuck up and just play music. He is really annoying.

deicide still kicks ass even if they put out 1 or 2 shitty albums, it's not like other bands haven't put out 1 or 2 shitty albums in their career. this new album is probably going to kick ass.
