DEICIDE's GLEN BENTON Slams POISON's BRET MICHAELS

Bassist/vocalist Glen Benton of Florida-based death metallers DEICIDE has posted the following message on his MySpace page: " Glen's Bible verse of the day… "Be it to me to thrust morality into anything I write, and I'm sure once again I will get a lot of guff over this, but man it has to be said by someone and I figure who better to say it but me, that freedom of speech thing I value so dear to my heart… OK… Who is with me on that the whole Bret Michaels 'Rock Of Love' thing is the stupidest thing ya ever seen in your life? It makes me want to buy his records just so I can throw them at passing cars… Come on, ya got this dude who's day came and went with the Jheri curl, and the moon-walking craze. Now VH1, in their desperate hour, gives this glitter-glam goof from yesteryear a show about what? Old whores and some new ones who are just as desperate as him that no bands making records today would touch… or, should I say, any of us who have any respect for ourselves… and our families. I have had the displeasure of seeing a couple of episodes, and it is clearly a feeble attempt on everyone's behalf involved in that show to obtain the almighty 15 minutes of fame and play it out as long as they can… It's going on three seasons now, and now ya got this doofus out and about in the States on buses with his troop of bim bags. You can easily see any of these chicks at your local strip bar. If that's your gimmick. "I do have to give it to him on the man side of things, any man would… Do you really think you're gonna find love in that pile of silicone and barf breath though? I do enjoy seeing them kick each other's asses because I think it is fitting punishment for their part as the unlovable douchebags they are. Putting that many menstruating crazy women in one place hell is going to break loose and he deserves all the aggravation that comes with it. Who, in their right mind, would want to deal with that for any price? But, then again, what else was he doing before this? Nothing!!! I'm sure he is getting paid a pretty penny to deal with that and provide us with entertainment, and I'm sure he is getting great ratings by the man population of the world… What man wouldn't want to see a good cat fight… meow… What's next? 'Bret Michaels Rock of Love Health Department'? We can watch him go and get something frozen off or see him squirm as he gets the ole Q-tip swab test...hee hee… "The whole reality show thing I think has gotten way out of control, and maybe it's just me, but I miss good old comedy television were it isn't done solely for the enrichment of someone's deflated ego… "Damn, I wish 'The Three Stooges' were still alive…YUCK YUCK YUCK…"

The way you're describing it, it sounds like you've tuned in for every show the past 2 seasons. Admit it Glenn, you're hooked. It's ok, a lot of us are. When you go by a car wreck do you look away or pray for a stiff wind to blow away the bed sheet covering the family of four as you strain your eyes as hard as you can to get a better look? Here are some sad facts :
1.) Glen has watched more Rock Of Love than I have. ( I haven't watched a minute of this show. I'm convinced watching shows like this lower your IQ )
2.) Glen is looking for attention ( We know this because Blabbermouth has a link where you e-mail news stories to. I'm betting that Glen e-mailed the story to Blabbermouth himself. )
3.) Glen is in a band that pretends to be mean and evil yet he talks about how this show offends him ?????
4.) The only thing Glen is pissed about is how his gimmic of a band is making less money than Bret's gimmic of a band ( let's all be honest all bands need a gimmic to get noticed... Bret's was to dress like girls and Glen's is to pretend to be a big mean bunch of dudes that like satan.)
5.) Bret looks like a chick surrounded by hoes ( that's his gimmic - change the channel if you don't want to see it )< for those with really low IQ's I've never watched the show hence taking my own advice >
6.) Glen in his picture is trying to look scary and mean and it really just comes off like he's constipated. And from reading his posting on his My Space Page he probably is..........
This bullshit of I'm going to rant about your success to try and get people to notice me is just plain stupid. It makes him look like an attention seeker and an idiot. This guy is preaching to people on his My Space page like Oral Robberts yet his "band" is trying to do the exact opposite. I think the rock of love thing is a ridculous idea. i know someone hwo told me that all of the contestant on the show are nothing more than paid actresses that have their head shots reviewed, they come in for auditions etc....Rock of Love my ass!!
That being said, Glen benton would probaly wish he could fuck the ugliest girl Bret Mchaels ever did. Of course he pckers his lips, he looks like a girl. he still sells more records than Deicide, still pls in bigger places than Deicide ever has or ever will(Giant outdoor festivals don't count). I guess if you've always played clubs to about 500-1,000 people, you can't possibly have a prime. If you used to play 10,000 to 15,000 seat arenas and now you're playing 3,000 to 4,0000 seaters you're passed your prime?
I'd like to know how many records Poison has sold as opposed to Deicide. I'm not talking eighties, just the last two from each.

I was gonna write a big thing about who glen makes good death metal with satanic overtones but at the end of the day its still just music if you really want to hero worship some big evil monster go and read up on some serial killers or genocidal despots I was also gonna say that glen has a kid so I really doubt he's a virgin, I was also gonna say that I would take glen's less moneyed and less sexed up and altogether humbler lifestyle on if it meant getting to play musis as good as he does, but I dont think I really need to since you lot should already know how stupid you really are.

How can he refer to Bret Michaels as being out of his "hey day" when Bret's career was far more successful than his before the rock of love show. Glen Benton has never been as successful as Bret Michaels at any point in his career, yet he has the audacity to make fun of Bret's lack of success. That is fuckin' ignorant.
I own a few of Deicied's records & as I get older I realize that they aren't that good anymore.

For a washed-up rock star, when he tours with Poison he probably makes more money off of one show then Decide makes off of an entire leg of one of their tours. Hollyweird has outsold Decides biggest record. And have you seen some of the chicks that show up to death metal shows? I haven't. And ROck of Love, whether you like it or not gets ratings.

There's Nothing Like It. People Watch B/C They Want 2 Escape Their Own Life. Haven't Seen The Program Don't Plan On It. Deicide Haven't Heard Them, But I'm Sure They Sound Great. I actually went over to Decides Myspace and gave their music a listen. I can honestly say that I've never never heard a human do a better approxiamation of a singing toilet. Not just any toilet now, a toilet at one of those real old gas stations off of I-95 that you made your parents stop at because you were only 8 and couldn't hold it. You know, the one's that looked like a Cannibal Corprse cover inside? Jesus, how couldn't anyone like this filth? I guess it would be really good to play to POW's if you wanted to torture them, or if you wanted people to think you were criminaly insane. Maybe just owning one of their cd's could allow you to get away with murder! "Your honor, I present defense exhibit A: The defendant has been listineng to Deicide and similar music for some time now. Is this what Glen Benton's reduced to these days? Complaining about "Rock Of Love", a show of which I've yet to make any unlikely effort in watching?
Too bad the Royal Canadian Air Farce disbanded on New Year's Eve. Benton would be the third freshest comedy talent on that show next to Craig Lauzon and Jessica Holmes seeing as Deicide doesn't seem to be bringing in the financial devil's food cake anymore.

on one side you got this guy (Bret) swimming in loot, making out with hot chicks, and riding around in badass cars and motorcycles. Then on the other side you got this other guy (Glen) who worships the devil and lives with his parents. Is it really any suprise that 2nd guy slams the 1st guy? A little jealous are we?? I doubt very seriously that Bret is very concerned about Glens opinion of him or his show.

Deicide? Glen Benton? Who cares what this douchebag has to say. How many albums have they sold compared to Poison? Doesn't even compare. When you actually make an album that someone wants to buy then you can run your mouth. It takes a lot of "talent" to growl and scream into a mic call that singing.
