The Return Of STEREOMUD - Jan. 11, 2009
LOVE SAID NO singer Erik Rogers has resurrected his previous band STEREOMUD and plans to tour with the group this spring. STEREOMUD is currently in the studio working on a brand new full-length CD that will be released later in the year.

STEREOMUD's current lineup is as follows:

Erik Rogers - Vocals
Billy Grey (ex-FOZZY, SICK SPEED) – Lead Guitar
Dave Urban (ex-25 TA LIFE) - Bass
Rodney Beaubouef (ex-STUCK MOJO) - Drums

STEREOMUD was an alternative-metal-hard rock band based out of Georgia and New York. The group released its first album, "Perfect Self", on Columbia Records in 2001 and a video for the song "Pain" received airplay on MTV2. The LP went on to sell more than 200,000 copies and hit #5 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart upon its release in May 2001. The lead single, "Pain", peaked at #8 on the Mainstream Rock chart, and "Steppin' Away" entered the Top 30 on the same chart, taking the album to 142 on The Billboard 200 list.

STEREOMUD's "End of Everything" landed a spot on the WWF "Forceable Entry" compilation album released by the World Wrestling Federation in 2002. Other bands on the CD included DISTURBED, KID ROCK, ROB ZOMBIE, CREED, SEVENDUST and DROWNING POOL.

STEREOMUD returned two years later with the second effort, "Every Given Moment", which matched its predecessor's Billboard chart position and spawned the Active Rock Top 30 hit single, "Breathing". In April 2003, Columbia Records cut the band's tour support and dropped the band, leading to the band's split in July 2003, a mere three months after the release of "Every Given Moment".

In addition to Rogers, STEREOMUD's original lineup included bassist Corey Lowery (ex-STUCK MOJO, currently in DARK NEW DAY), guitarist Joey Z. (LIFE OF AGONY), drummer Dan Richardson (ex-PRO-PAIN, CRUMBSUCKERS) and guitarist John Fattoruso (BLACK WATER RISING).

Upcoming STEREOMUD shows:

Mar. 05 - [to be announced] - Ft. Myers, Florida
Mar. 06 - Bourbon Street - New Port Richey, Florida
Mar. 07 - PlazaTheatre - Orlando, Florida, Florida
Mar. 13 - Club Rio - San Antonio, Texas
Mar. 28 - Annies Entertainment Complex - Cincinnati, Ohio
Apr. 04 - State Theatre - St. Petersburg, Florida
Apr. 18 - 2015 Café - Pelham, Alabama

Having said that, this line-up is not Stereomud, it cannot be without Joey Z. and Corey Lowery.

Even though the original line-up isn't there, I guess it's still good see Erik brining Stereomud back in some form. I have a feeling Corey Lowery will join eventually, since he and Erik were discussing ressurecting this band not too long ago. They both wanted to, apparently said that they were both busy with their other bands (Love Said No and Dark New Day). Even still, bring on new Stereomud!

With only the singer back this will NOT be STEREOMUD at all. Very stupid, this guy is grasping at straws.

HOLY SHIT! YES! Huge stereomud fan. First time I ever saw a PRS guitar. Took me 3 years to find out what it was. He played a silver custom 22, in bird inlays but still looked amazing. They were badass live. Saw them in Toledo, OH.

wait....wtf does it this mean for Dark New Day?? Then again, from some of the new stuff from DND, I could careless since they decided it would be cool to start sounding like Muse.

Might want to get Joey and Clint back in. Hard to move forward when the people that wrote the music aren't there. I've always though they where a very solid band. Much more then the credit they'd ever get on here, but then what is new.

The second album didn't match the SALES of the first, just the initial chart position.

Stereomud was fuckin' generic, anyway. Hey Eric, Lajon just called; he wants his vocal style back.

What a shit thing to do. Mr. Rogers may want to check with the other guys to see if he even has the right to use the name Stereomud. Which I don't think he does. I can understand wanting to get back out there, but come on use something other than the band that started it all for you. Without Fatts, Zamp, Slate & Corey it's not Stereomud!

stereomud was awesome, but everything erics done since is just ok to me. ive lost all respect for him trying to sell this. it will always be compared to sevendust because the main writers of each band are brothers, and clint from sevendust even wrote on the stereomud cd. they feel complemented being compared anyway. 2 killer bands.
