ATREYU Jamming At NAMM: Video Available - Jan. 23, 2009
Bay Area Backstage has posted video footage of the California-based rock band ATREYU jamming at this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, which was held January 15-18, 2009 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Watch the 25-minute clip below.

ATREYU's latest single from its current album, "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", is called "Slow Burn". Singer Alex Varkatzas told The Pulse of Radio that the track could be the most diverse offering yet from the band. "Oh, it's a rad song, like, it's got a totally different feel than anything we've ever kind of written before, and it's got a real, like, to me almost like a U2-type, like, rousing drum beat chorus," he said. "It's just kind of like another outside of the bubble song for ATREYU on 'Lead Sails Paper Anchor', which, I think the whole record is kind of outside of our bubble. Another weird song that we wrote and we play. We don't even play it that well."

"Slow Burn" follows "Falling Down" and "Becoming the Bull" as singles from "Lead Sails Paper Anchor".

The group issued an expanded version of the album last April, featuring newly recorded cover songs, 10 videos and profiles of each band member.

Never was into these guys much before but this album is actually really good. Picked it up by chance and its catchy as hell. The average knuckle draggers on this site will probably shine it though because it is not the typical Job for a Cowboy garbage.
