TRIVIUM: 'Throes Of Perdition' Video To Debut Next Week - Jan. 23, 2009
"Throes Of Perdition", the new video from Florida metallers TRIVIUM, will receive its online premiere this coming Tuesday, January 27 on MySpace. The song comes off the band's latest album, "Shogun", which has sold more than 60,000 copies in the United States since its late September release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD follows up "The Crusade", which opened with 31,000 copies in October 2006 to land at No. 25.

"Shogun" was released in North America on September 30, 2008 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was mixed in London by Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD, FEAR FACTORY, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, NAPALM DEATH), with Jeff Rose and Martin "Ginge" Ford assisting on engineering duties.

Sweden's Metal-TV.com conducted an interview with TRIVIUM bassist Paolo Gregoletto and guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy in November 2008 when the band toured Europe with SLAYER, MASTODON and AMON AMARTH. Watch the four-minute chat below.

This is probably my favorite album of '08. Far and away Triviums best effort.

Great album.

Those numbers are great for a young band who don't get songs on the radio. And if I'm not mistaken they sell records really well all over the world.

great choice for the next video
shogun is one of the best of 2008, despite what all the haters say. the music by far blows away 99% of all other metal out there, and the return of the screaming vocals and heafy not trying to sound like hetfield actually worked nicely.
very good band, and a very good song. cant wait to see what someone makes of the video

shogun the track is very good. one thing I'm not fond of is the "maiden tribute" in into the mouth of hell we march. very cheesy. I love maiden and I'd rather hear maiden play maiden.
