KREATOR Kicks Off European Tour; Photos Available, Setlist Revealed - Jan. 24, 2009
German thrash metal veterans KREATOR kicked off their European tour in support of their new album, "Hordes Of Chaos", last night (Friday, January 23) at 013 in Tilburg, Holland. Support on the trek is coming from CALIBAN, ELUVEITIE and EMERGENCY GATE.

A number of high-quality photos from the Tilburg show can be found at Metal-Experience.com.

KREATOR's setlist was as follows:

01. Intro
02. Hordes Of Chaos
03. Warcurse
04. Extreme Agression
05. Phobia
06. Voices Of The Dead
07. Enemy Of God
08. Destroy What Destroys You
09. Pleasure To Kill
10. To The Afterborn
11. Corpses Of Liberty
12. Demon Prince
13. The Patriarch
14. Violent Revolution
15. Terrible Certainty
16. Betrayer
17. Amok Run
18. Riot Of Violence
----------------------------------
19. Flag Of Hate
20. Tormentor

"Hordes Of Chaos" sold around 2,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 165 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 7 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Hordes Of Chaos" had a commanding first week at radio, roaring out of the box to grab the #1 "Most Added" slot on both the CMJ Loud Rock chart and FMQB's Metal Detector chart. The album made a rare first-week jump into CMJ Loud Rock's Top 10 with a #10 debut along with an impressive #16 debut on FMQB.

The CD was released in three different versions. The jewel case edition includes the ten regular album songs, and the deluxe version features an additional bonus DVD with an atmospheric making-of in super-8 quality courtesy of a Berlin filmmaker. As a third option, the ultra-deluxe version comes with a t-shirt, a worthwhile photo book and an extended version of the bonus DVD, as well as the CD.

The "Hordes Of Chaos" artwork was created once again by Joachim Luetke. Luetke designed the artwork for KREATOR's last album, "Enemy Of God", as well as past releases from bands like DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY and RAGE.

KREATOR is putting the finishing touches on its new video for the title track of "Hordes Of Chaos". The clip was shot on November 2 in Berlin, Germany with director Jörn Heitmann (RAMMSTEIN), who has also worked on the band's video for the song "Enemy Of God".

Kreator rules... But they should add People of the Lie or When The Sun Burns Red, the coolest songs off the Coma of Souls album... The new album is awesome too...

I'll always be happy I got to see them play 'Love Us or Hate Us' the first time I saw them with Vader a few years ago. I wish they'd do it again, but oh well. When a band has a catalog so large, it's impossible to please everyone within a 20 song setlist haha, and I figure, no matter what 20 songs they are, if they're Kreator, they kick ass.

to see them with exodus. I hope they still play almost all of HOC. It's an instant classic, even better than the classics in a weird way. Add escalation though. Shit, that song rules.

last Kreator album is a killer album. maybe best Kreator album... but this playlist is not very good for me. is too many 80's songs, and too few 90's and 2000's songs (except last album). i hope than he came in Bucharest, they change that playlist a little more :)
