CANNIBAL CORPSE To Tour North America With THE FACELESS, OBSCURA, NEURAXIS - Jan. 26, 2009
Florida-based death metallers CANNIBAL CORPSE will embark on a North American headlining tour in April. Support on the trek will come from THE FACELESS, OBSCURA and NEURAXIS.

Commented CANNIBAL CORPSE bassist Alex Webster: "We are very excited to be touring the U.S. and Canada with NEURAXIS, THE FACELESS, and OBSCURA. This is a killer lineup as each band is extreme and heavy but has their own unique style. We're playing a number of cities we rarely get to on this tour, so be sure to check the tour dates closely...you don't want to miss this one!"

The dates are as follows:

April 02 - Asheville, TN - Orange Peel
April 03 - Memphis, TN - New Daisy Theatre
April 04 - Tulsa, OK - The Marquee
April 06 - Salt Lake City, UT - Avalon
April 07 - Boise, ID - Knitting Factory
April 08 - Spokane, WA - Knitting Factory
April 10 - Vancouver, BC - Croatian Cultural Center
April 11 - Kelowna, BC - Habitat

April 26 - Jacksonville, NC - Hooligan's Music Hall
April 27 - Jacksonville, FL - Freebird Live

Fangoria.com has posted another preview clip from the documentary DVD which will accompany "Evisceration Plague", the forthcoming album from Tampa, Florida-based death metal veterans CANNIBAL CORPSE. Check it out at this location.

CANNIBAL CORPSE shot a video for the "Evisceration Plague" title track on January 21 in Northern New Jersey. The clip was helmed by veteran video director Dale "Rage" Resteghini, who has previously worked with MUDVAYNE, TRIVIUM and HATEBREED, among many others.

The "Evisceration Plague" title track is available for streaming at this location.

"Evisceration Plague" is scheduled for release on February 3, 2009 via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Kill" was produced by Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, MORBID ANGEL) at his Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Commented bassist Alex Webster: "In CANNIBAL CORPSE, our goal has always been to try and make each new album we record our heaviest. That goal was a bit more challenging this time since we were extremely satisfied with our last album 'Kill', but we knew that by working with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios again, we would be able to start at that same level of heaviness and take it even further. Now that we can hear the finished product, I would say we've been able to achieve this goal, and I think our fans will agree. 'Evisceration Plague' has the best guitar sound we've ever recorded, and the entire band has never played with more precision and power. We can't wait until you all get a chance to hear the album in early 2009, because we think you'll be as happy with it as we are."

"Evisceration Plague" track listing:

01. Priests of Sodom
02. Scalding Hail
03. To Decompose
04. A Cauldron of Hate
05. Beheading and Burning
06. Evidence in the Furnace
07. Carnivorous Swarm
08. Evisceration Plague
09. Shatter Their Bones
10. Carrion Sculpted Entity
11. Unnatural
12. Skewered From Ear to Eye

"Evisceration Plague" will be available as a limited-edition digipack including a bonus track and bonus DVD, jewelcase CD and on limited splatter vinyl.

I will be at the Montreal and Ottawa dates. As if they are playing at Babylon. That show will be the most intimate show. I hate that place, but I guess it would be sorta cool to see CC on a really small stage in the corner of some shitty club. The thing that I hate most is that a proper venue called Barrymore's is right upstairs. I don't think they play shows there anymore and I have no idea why.

The new CC is just amazing...had a chance to hear it...Just awesome...If your expecting Kill 2, it's not for you, it's more like Wrestched Spawn, meets Bleeding...Slower album, with groove, wicked riffs, catchy as hell...Speed always isin't the answer...It's heavy album, but for the right reasons..If your one of those people, who just want something heavy, it's not for you. If you like musicians who are showing you, what they can do, and keep it "real", with an open mind..

George hasn't sounded this good....imo their best album

I am sure they will be doing a larger tour in the fall. It would be nice if they would come to Alaska. The only metal we get is 36 sucky dicks because they are from here.

That Mayhem rumour makes a lot of sense. They seems to be playing off the beaten path a bit because they'll be in major cities this summer.

it says in Alex's statement they're going to cities they don't normally go to
also they're on the Rockstar tour with a bunch of crappy bands..... so they're going to big cities on that, and for people complaining about toronto, Corpse will be there with Slayer and Manson and a bunch of crappy bands and such

so who all is going to the Medley and Babylon shows? Babylon will be so intense since it's such a small performance area
