SEBASTIAN BACH Wants To Release Two New Albums This Year

Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach has issued the following update via his official newsletter, dubbed the "Daily DeBachle": "My plan in 2009 is to release two CDs, if possible. One will be the CD I am working on with Jeffrey Steele and Vicky McGehee, the team that brought you 'Battle with the Bottle' [the song Bach sang on CMT's hit series, 'Gone Country']. The other CD will be a straight-up, hard-ass rocker, the follow-up to 'Angel Down'. I plan on writing this record with my band, Roy Z [ 'Angel Down' producer who has worked with JUDAS PRIEST, BRUCE DICKINSON, HALFORD and HELLOWEEN] hopefully, and definitely Jamey Jasta of the band HATEBREED. Jamey and I are getting together this month to record some demos. I am not going to make a HATEBREED record, I am going to work on material with Jamey that will be heavy and anthemic but still make sense next to the other CDs I have done. I am also planning on releasing a new DVD in 2009. Can't go into the details quite yet, but there will be more high-quality live DVD material coming your way this year, a la 'Roadrage'. Looks like I will be starting work on the new DVD this month. "Don't get confused by me doing a 'country' album and a 'rock' album at the same time. I have always hated labels. What I have learned over my lifetime is, I don't make decisions for my voice, my voice makes decisions for me. I have to get out of the way of my own voice so it can be heard loud and clear. My only objective in making CDs is to make them 'good.' Hopefully these two new CDs will fall into this category!" Sebastian Bach's "Angel Down" limited-edition CD/DVD package, featuring "Roadrage", a film by Sebastian Bach, was made available in the USA as an FYE exclusive at all FYE stores nationwide and also at the FYE booth on last summer's tour with POISON. "Roadrage" features five tracks, "100% live, pro-shot" on the 2006 North American GUNS N' ROSES/ SEBASTIAN BACH tour. "Angel Down" was produced by Roy Z ( BRUCE DICKINSON, HALFORD, JUDAS PRIEST), and recorded at Sound City Studios and Under City Studios in Los Angeles, California. Joining Bach in the studio were guitarists "Metal" Mike Chlasciak and Johnny Chromatic, Bobby Jarzombek on drums, and Steve DiGiorgio on bass. GUNS N' ROSES' Axl Rose makes a special guest appearance contributing vocals on three of the album's songs — "(Love is a) Bitchslap", a cover of AEROSMITH's "Back In the Saddle" and "Stuck Inside". An e-card for "Angel Down" can be found at this location.

Despite not liking Country, that doesn't prevent me from listening to ANGEL DOWN, or Metallica or Motley Crue or CCR.

you know, i actually took the time to download his last album "Angel Down" and i was pleasantly surprised. it's actually a lot heaver than anyone would imagine. even if he can't remember how to tie his shoes, bach still has a great voice. looking forward to his new album with jamey jasta behind the board (weird combo, innit?)
as for his whole "country" thing...i dont know. i havent heard any of his country stuff, but if its anything like other country stuff, its probably a bunch of fucking crap. so i couldnt care a rats ass about that stuff

torrent downloaders are lame. if you dont support these bands why do you even care to listen? i know mommy cant spread to up your allowance to actually buy something, but thats cool. what goes around comes around.
secondly, i love bas, but i get douche chills when i think about him doing a country album after such a great album like angel down. i will be open to it, but the only good thing about bas doing a country album is that he is one step closer to reunited with the skids.
at the moment, ' i remember you 2' by the new skids on the block is playing on eddie trunk live. if you like this version than you are a complete asshole. period.

who gives a fuck whats people real names are? its not like Bach is the first rockstar or moviestar or whatever to use another name!!
and great to get 2 albums and dvd this year, i dont like country but so fucking what???? he's doing some stuff he hasnt done before so good for him, and it will probably be a very good country album.
and why is ChoraleSatana even on blabbermouth??? Bach is selling more records then most metal bands are doing and playing to bigger crowds, but of course he played for more people and sold more records when he was supposed to be "in", it happens to anyone but that doestn mean these people are making any worse music or are worse live then they used to be. most of the time they have just gotten older and start making a little different music but usually the bands are better live when they are a little older.
But one of the best things about Bach is that he doesnt let his fans down, ok i wanted more albums from him but he was acting on brodway and stuff like that for some years, but at least he made a very good album with Angel Down. and Bach did from day one start trying to go away from the mainstram realy, Slave to the Grind was a great heavy rock metal album and many times better then the first album an then subhuman race even heavier. it was not like they were doing a bon jovi and making the same easy listening commercial, rock over and over again.
unlike Metallica for example, start getting popular and start making shitty music, ok the black album was ok, nothing more, and then almost 20 years of shit and then one semi-good album in Death Magnetic and suddenly they are gods??? why the fuck? because of marketing and they seem to have very good marketing team, you saw Death Magnetic whereever you go so no wonder it sells so good. and still they arent even that great live either.
there are so many metal bands out there now and before that are better then them, but of course they dont sell us much because they arent as commercial and usualy the singer dont have the same commercial voice as hetfield.
but now im just waiting for the new Mastadon record and by the first song it could be very good and far from being a sellout.
it would be great year to get 2 albums and dvd from Bach and album from Mastadon and 1 from Megadeth, lets just hope we have some more good stuff coming.
and yea Chinese Democracy is a great album, thought it was just very good at first but after many listens its great, and many times better then the safe way of Death MAgnetic!!!

and why is age such an issue? people get old and get on with their lives, making new music and playing with different people and bands change and whatever. and we wont get Appetite from Axl again, wont get Machine Heaed from Deep Purple or Number of the beast from Maiden and so on, and so what???? we just go listen to these albums if we want to. most of these older bands are making just as good music or better then they got most famous for but people and me included sometimes usualy have so great memories about these older songs and the good time we had then that we dont give the newer stuff as much change as we should do.
and usualy, especialy for the last 5-10 years or so these older bands are making muchmuch better music then most of the new bands, especialy the bands that are supposed to be "in" or cool or whatever you wanna call it. they are just younger and "better" looking or are ready to do anything to get famous, thats why they are selling better,not because they are better, and when you see these bands live then you usualy realy see it, these older bands playing old songs or new are many times better.
but of course there are many great new bands but most of the arent gonna be as huge as these older bands, because of downloading and maybe there are just to many rock/metal bands out there and the fans seem to be to single minded to listen to different kinds of metal, or many bands, usualy if you read here on blabbermouth people love one bands and hate some others when and there are so many bands for people to hate and love that none of them get realy big wich isnt very good for metal in general but still there are many bands out there that sell ok and lets just admit it metal/hard rock will always be a little out of the mainstream wich is just a very good thing realy but of course 1-2 bands will crossover from time to time, and they end up playing for 50.000 in a stadium with most of the people just knowing the hits and dont care about the other songs wich are usualy better!
vow this is long hehe, sorry lost myself a little here, but fuckit, just keep on listening to good music, and dont stop listening to metal because some 40 year old people that dont realy listen to music tells you to!!!! because most people dont have music as a hobby and just listen to whats on the radio at any given time or some people that are in some news papers for some other things then music!!

Great post man. It's true, a big reason for Angle downs rather unimpressive sales was that it was fucking impossible to find the thing!! I couldnt find it ANYWHERE out here in Canada, and me and all my buddys for sure would have baught it, as im sure the same goes with thousands of other groups of freinds around north america.
If Baz had the Promotions team that mettalica had he would definatly be up in the same level. He sure rocks alot harder live then any of them do...
I am sorta let down about the country album though, seems like a sell out move... Atleast hes putting out a rock one too, but my best advice for him would be; Channel all your fucking energy on one album at a time man!!!
But he's a great artist, i suppose you gotta let em explore on there own. Anyhow Baz fucking rocks, and hopefuly will always continue to do so \m/

and if you check out bands historys also you can see it changes very much with money and getting familys and kids, most famous bands used to make 5-6 albums or more the first 10 years and then start making 2-3 albums the next 10 years. was just seeing Metalicas discography on a torrent site and they made all these fine albums the first 10 years and then start making shitty albums every 5-6 years.
its both money and familys and i think also sometimes for bands they take some time to get used to that they are getting over 30 and out of commercial zone they are the in the first 10 years. it happens every 10 years or so, they just have to keep going because they still make good albums and have plenty of real fans out there and thats what many people are starting to see. even the 80's bands that stopped because of the grunge thing are coming back and are doing fine. and Sabbath kept going in the 80's and made some fine albums then although they didnt sell millions and suddenly in the late 90's they were cool again and still are.
and Purple are doing fine now and making very good albums too and i think its great they play newer songs and jamming live, but i know some people dont like it, they jsut go to a Deep Purple concert to hear smoke on the water or something but still they enough real fans to keep them going!!!
lets see if many of the bands today can to that!!!!

please just go somewhere else if you cant support people and bands that are great to their fans and keep on making music and playing concerts for their true fans!!!
Angel Down and many other metal albums last year should have sold as much as Death Magnetic or rock n'roll train, but they just dont have the same backing. its very different if you're everywhere on tv and radio, and have 100 albums in a records store or 10.
its the difference between labels.
and the time that the best music and musicians are on top of the charts is long gone, but still im happy for rock and metal that at least AC/DC, Metallica and GNR sold very good, but it would be good to get some new band at the same level in sales, yea ok maybe Slipknot and even Disturbed have some but still they arent that good

Frameshift 2 - An Absence Of Empathy is still the best showcase for Bach's voice on record, imo, and still my favorite album of the last 5 years, if not the last 10 years.
Another great album that is destined to not be heard by most of his fans because of a lack of promotion and all of the other backstory.
"Angel Down" was a big digression from "Frameshift 2".

Agree with you on that!!! Frameshift 2 was a great album and his voice is great there!!! but its not very commercial record so of course a lots of people will miss out on it just like many other great metal and progressive records.
and who gives a shit what he said one year ago? people can change their mind right? and at least it didnt take him almost 20 years to make a decent album like some band that first letter is Metallica! and at least he's doing more heavy stuff and different from what he got famous for in the beginning.
im just glad it was this not the other way around(making 2 albums and dvd instead of none), and he seems to have much fun in his live so good for him, at least hes not spending time here bashing on people that dont deserve it.

and why the fuck are we mentioning Bon Jovi here???? comon!!! he's been making the same safe pop/rock albums now for 20+ years. and its right Dave Sabo was and is probably a friend of Bon Jovi and Bon Jovi was already popular so of course he helped his friend out but i have say that Skid Row would probably have made it nonetheless. and yea all the Skid Row albums are better then any album by Bon Jovi so i bet Bach just like any other artist here on blabbermouth are just happy to be making their music and selling less records then Bon Jovi.
But still they would probalby like it if they would sell as many albums but its never gonna happen, ok maybe Metallica have sold as much or more, not sure, but they are almost as commercial as Bon Jovi so......

Yeah last week Baz did say to add 10 years to the release of any new music, in responce to the illegal downloading issue....and Blabbermouth jumped on it the same day he said it....this news that Blabbermouth got hold of and have just put up here today was actually something Baz said over 1 month ago....so once again Blabbermouth are back to front and behind the news..just wanted to clear that up.
