THE CRUCIFIED Box Set In The Works - Jan. 28, 2009
2009 marks the 25th anniversary of when THE CRUCIFIED started making music. To celebrate, Tooth & Nail Records will release a collector's edition box-set of music, video and history.

THE CRUCIFIED was an American crossover thrash metal band from Fresno, California that formed in 1984. Its final lineup was vocalist Mark Salomon, guitarist Greg Minier, bassist Jeff Bellew, and drummer Jim Chaffin.

THE CRUCIFIED released two studio albums and three demos. The band toured California for the majority of its career and appeared at the Cornerstone Festival outside of Chicago several times. The band broke up in 1993 due to personal differences.

...when you put it that way it DOES sound a bit lame

Crucified were actually a great band, the early stuff was crap, but if this "box set celebration" is the only way to get a hold of a remastered Pillars of Humanity disc - then I'm all over it

I'm not into the Crucified myself, but if you would know what impact they have had, you wouldn't be making those ignorant comments.

They had a short history but they were influential, even Phil Anselmo asked them to open for the Vulgar Display tour...

the first album is hardcore thrash, but p.o.h. is a straight thrash icon. if you find it like i did, buy it , it is very expensive cause is out of print!!! it sound very heavy and fast!!!

COMMENT | I watched these guys!

I watched them rock an event in Apple Valley, CA back in the early 90's. These guys were serious! They controlled the crowd with the fast music and Mark Solomon was puttin' it down, HARDCORE! It pisses me off when people put down stuff they have never seen because they have nothing better to do. Get a life, WINGER FAN!

Been a fan for about 20 years; Pillars of Humanity has been out of print for over half of that, so it'll be cool for people not to have to shell out $$$ anymore for a legit copy. And if there weren't a demand for this, it probably wouldn't have happened. I'll be buying it for sure! Even better if Pillars gets remixed or at least remastered.
