SLAYER's KING To Talk About ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM Fest On SIRIUS XM's LIQUID METAL - Jan. 28, 2009
Tune in to Sirius XM's Liquid Metal channel tomorrow (Thursday, January 29) at 3:00 p.m. EST to hear Kerry King of Los Angeles thrashers SLAYER and Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour creator Kevin Lyman make the official lineup announcement for this summer's Mayhem trek. You'll hear music from the bands that are taking part in the festival and get an update on the almighty SLAYER from the mouth of madness himself.

This year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival trek will be headlined by SLAYER and MARILYN MANSON, with a yet-to-be-announced "special guest" (strongly rumored to be KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, who are unable to announce their participation due to their involvement with the Music As A Weapon IV tour this spring) also making an appearance on the same stage (along with Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE). The Jägermeister stage will feature TRIVIUM, ALL THAT REMAINS, GOD FORBID and the Jägermeister Battle of the Bands winner; the Hot Topic stage will feature extreme metal bands CANNIBAL CORPSE, JOB FOR A COWBOY, BEHEMOTH, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and WHITECHAPEL. The World's Greatest Freestyle Motocross team METAL MULISHA will also be revving up the crowd with their unique style of death-defying motorcycle stunts on all dates.

The festival billing is as follows:

Main Stage:

SLAYER
MARILYN MANSON
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE

Special Guest (to be announced)

Hot Topic Stage:

CANNIBAL CORPSE
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER
JOB FOR A COWBOY
BEHEMOTH
WHITECHAPEL

Jägermeister Stage:

TRIVIUM
ALL THAT REMAINS
GOD FORBID

A short video message from Kerry King and Tom Araya of SLAYER officially announcing the band's participation in this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour can be viewed below.

Manson is currently in the studio working on his forthcoming album scheduled for release in May on Interscope Records. This highly anticipated record reunites Manson and Twiggy Ramirez for their first collaboration since "Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death)" in 2000.

Summer 2009 will also see a brand new album from the mighty SLAYER, who have already recorded three new songs and are slated to return to the studio in February to finish. Late last fall, SLAYER made one of the new tracks, "Psychopathy Red", available as a free online stream to fans, and to date, the song has been posted online at more than one million sites.

"We co-headlined with MANSON once before, a couple of years ago," said SLAYER's Kerry King, "so we all know what we're getting into. Manson and I probably drank a little too much absinthe on that tour, but we had a really good time hanging out and playing good music — we're looking forward to doing the same this summer on Mayhem."

Says SLAYER vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, "We're looking forward to some summer mayhem and playing new sh*t!"

The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is the brainchild of Kevin Lyman, John Reese and CAA's Darryl Eaton, the creative team behind some of the industry's most successful road jaunts, including the long-running Vans Warped Tour and the worldwide Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour.

No folks, Chorale Satana's real name is not "Chorale Satana." As is revealed at this URL:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chorale_Satana_is_a_FUCK_STICK,

Chorale Satana's father Igay Vbirthtoacocksucker (b. 1944, Appleton, Minipenis – d. August 28, 2002), was a Canadian-born Retarded painter. His work is exhibited at the Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York City. According to Dipshit.com ([1] [2]), Vbirthtoacocksucker was primarily active in California and Canada, and he was best known for producing children with small dicks and really fuckin low I.Qs ........

So folks, the former Blabbermouth poster known as Chorale Satana's real name is actually "Smalldickedmotherfucker Whomnoonegivesaflyingmonkeyshitabout III."

Now that this revelation is out of the way, the only remaining unknown here is whether or not his father fucked his cousin or his grandmother in order to give birth to his fucktard

August 7th is the Philly show.

While I'm not thrilled with Manson being on an otherwise entire Metal bill, he does put on a decent show.

Last I saw slayer and manson on tour the venue was literally half empty. the normally noisy slayer sounded even worse with their inverted cross-stacks echoing off of row after row of empty plastic seats.

and the Hot Topic stage sound GAY together. Oh well, it's CC nonetheless and the only worthwhile band to see the entire day.

They should only book major metal festival tours like this in the big metros of the midwest and the coasts, even with these major acts. The south and most inner US states simply isn't metal country on any scale resembling large, although Metallica still draws a respectable crowd in these places, but thats not difficult to understand given their name.

i really don't know what to think of slayer anymore. going out with these crap bands the last few yrs. god forbid, whitechapel, manson?? i'd love to see slayer and CC headline while behemoth and black dhalia support. GUARANTEE you wouldn't see a scene kid at all. and i see in every US metal tour whitechapel is on it. God they are awful, worse than JFAC
