TESTAMENT To Take Part In Signing Sessions On Upcoming Tour - Feb. 5, 2009
Veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers TESTAMENT will play a handful of headlining shows during their upcoming Priest Feast European tour with JUDAS PRIEST and MEGADETH. The band will also take part in signing sessions at select gigs on the trek. According to posting on TESTAMENT's MySpace page, fan should "check in at the merch booth at each gig for posted schedules of which venue will host signings with TESTAMENT. With each purchase of band merch at the gig, you will receive a wristband (limited to the first 50 fans). Schedule will be posted at the when you should come back to the merch booth to meet the band and get an autograph."

Two classic albums by thrash legends TESTAMENT — 1997's "Demonic" and 1999's "The Gathering" — were reissued on gatefold double vinyl by Prosthetic Records on February 3. Each features etched artwork on Side D and is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide. Additionally, 100 copies of "Demonic" feature red vinyl, while 100 copies of "The Gathering" feature gold vinyl.

"Demonic" and "The Gathering" were reissued on CD in 2008 and are currently available on all major digital platforms. Prosthetic plans to reissue additional TESTAMENT titles later in 2009, including the first-ever official CD release of the band's complete performance at the 1987 Dynamo Open Air festival.

TESTAMENT will play its classic first two albums — "The Legacy" and "The New Order" — for one night only at Islington Academy in London, England on March 25.

This unique "Metal Hammer Presents..." event will showcase the face-melting albums that kick-started the TESTAMENT story and helped create a monumental legacy that now stretches over 25 years. The set is also set to include a neck-cracking encore that will be drawn from the very best of the rest of the band's back catalog, possibly including cuts from the group's 2008 Metal Hammer Golden Gods "Album Of The Year", "The Formation Of Damnation".

Professionally filmed video footage of TESTAMENT's September 21, 2008 performance at Club Citta in Kawasaki, Japan can be viewed below. The band was in Japan taking part in the two-night Thrash Domination 2008 event alongside FORBIDDEN and VOIVOD.

"The Formation of Damnation" debuted at #59 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and is TESTAMENT's highest-charting release in the band's 24-year history. The album, which has sold more than 50,000 copies in the U.S. so far (according to Nielsen SoundScan) also dominated at radio, holding the #1 spot on both CMJ and FMQB for several consecutive weeks.

An e-card for "The Formation of Damnation" can be accessed at this location.

damn i wanted to go to that tour so fucking bad. I did get to see Judas Priest play on one of their kick off shows before the MM tour got underway though, they played for almost 3 hours and it was fantastic! Rob sounded awesome and could still hit the high notes on painkiller and other classics!

Testament is pretty much the only band I'd go to see on this tour. And I suppose I'd watch Megadeth out of a hope that they'll play some old stuff.

After that, you have to sing "Over The Wall" with your mouth full of dry Corn Flakes. The best performer then will have to ride the Downhill Flame of Death of Skulls of Forever Pain on a bicycle without brakes. If succesful, another three lucky winners randomly selected will get in. A fight of words using just TESTAMENT lyrics comes next. The winner will be able to have ONLY signed, "Souls of Black II" taiwanese edition with Duran Duran version bonustrack. We repeat, TESTAMENT member will ONLY sing copies of their "Souls of Black II" taiwanese edition with Duran Duran version bonustrack. Thank you to all the fans."
