Finnish metal group
TERÄSBETONI — which represented Finland in last year's
Eurovision Song Contest — performed a special version of its song
"Missä Miehet Ratsastaa" during the Finnish
Eurovision Song Contest finals in Tampere on January 31, 2009. Video footage of the performance (taken from a TV broadcast of the event) can be viewed below.
"Myrskyntuoja", the third and latest album from
TERÄSBETONI, was certified gold last summer in the band's home country for sales in excess of 15,000 copies. The gold plaques were presented to
TERÄSBETONI at the group's August 7, 2008 concert at the On The Rocks club in Helsinki.
"Myrskyntuoja" was produced by
Hiili Hiilesmaa (
HIM,
APOCALYPTICA,
THE 69 EYES), who previously worked with
TERÄSBETONI on the group's last LP, the gold-certified (in Finland)
"Vaadimme metallia", which came out in 2006.
TERÄSBETONI placed 22nd (out of a total of 25 contestants) in
Eurovision's finals, which was held on May 24, 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia.
