STEVEN ADLER Going Back To Rehab

According to TMZ.com, former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler was in court today where the judge ordered Adler to check himself into Cri-Help treatment center in North Hollywood, California first thing Monday morning. A short video clip of Steven leaving the courthouse earlier today can be viewed at TMZ.com. Adler was arrested last week for failing to complete court-ordered community service by the judge's deadline in connection with a July 2008 DUI bust. ADLER'S APPETITE, the band led by Steven Adler, is scheduled to embark on a full U.S. tour first time ever this winter/spring. The group will perform the iconic GN'R album "Appetite For Destruction" in its entirety along with other classics and some surprises. ADLER'S APPETITE's current lineup is rounded out by singer Sheldon Tarsha, Alex Grossi ( HOOKERS 'N' BLOW, ex- QUIET RIOT) on guitar, Michael Thomas ( FASTER PUSSYCAT) on guitar, and Chip Z'nuff ( ENUFF Z'NUFF) on bass. Adler is featured in "Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House", an eight-episode, one hour series that premiered on January 15 on VH1. The other members of GUNS N' ROSES band threw Adler out in 1989, saying his drug use was harming his performance. In 1993, the band agreed to pay him $2.3 million to settle Adler's lawsuit claiming a 1990 agreement by which he gave up his interest in the band was read to him and signed without his attorney present.

Steve ..hey listen loved your time in guns and roses i was one of your biggest fans in the old days,but you got to hang it up,you have a problem you need to stop playing and focus on being sober.You can either get sober and live or next time you tour,they will be bringing you home in a body bag.seriously anyone know this guy,reach out to him.

The guy seems quite nice on Celeb. Rehab and Sober House but just doesn't get and obivously runs with the wrong people at times. He really needs a friend that literally just is next to him 24hrs. a day. I'm not sure how Adler has left out of all his money he got. But dude needs to just pay a close friend like 3K a month to just babysit him for like a year to two years. I don't know blowing 60K to 100K on that seems like a no brainer over the alternative of dying.
But in the end the saddest thing is you just know at some point your going to log into Blabbermouth or whatever music related site to read that he OD the night before.

Well....considering that Steven did not get popped for dope (again), but for not completing the community slavery, it's no big deal. I hope he and his band are able to get on with this planned tour - that he makes it through without landing on his ass.

and needs to stop his old "routine" and get a new "routine" called clean living AWAY FROM THE PUBLIC EYE!! .
Sober house, celeb rehab is just another recipe in the addiction stew. These shows serve as tentative distraction to the real issue which is 'I CAN'T HELP MYSELF"....and as soon as this "attention-fest" is over I am running back to my dealer when I cant replicate the feelings I had with the general public watching.
If this were his 2nd or 3rd time in rehab then I would say no sweat...but it doens't take a rocket scientist to realize the isses run deep and this guy is surrounding himself with the "lifestlye" that was the catalyst behind his addition in the first place(being in the public eye- rockstar etc.).
Worst part is he has no clue or appreciation of the "chances" he has been given in life even after a stroke that fucked up his face and speech(Hello Steven this is your STOP DOING DRUGS God Moment) ......and still you didnt listen!
No one is perfect...but someone near and dear to this dude needs to "force" their will on him because he clearly does not have the depth of spirit or strength of conviction to do it himself.
GROW UP STEVEN YOU'RE A HELPLESS FUCKING DRUG ADDICT!!
