Original LIMP BIZKIT Lineup Reunites For Tour, New Studio Album

The original lineup of LIMP BIZKIT — Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and DJ Lethal — is back from an eight-year hiatus. Durst and Borland said in a joint statement, "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why LIMP BIZKIT is back." The guys will kick off a world tour in the spring on the overseas festival circuit, with headline shows sprinkled in throughout Europe. Select dates include (in late May) Russia, Ukraine, and the Baltic countries where LIMP BIZKIT has never played before despite huge demand, along with major festivals like Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park in Germany. A new album, which would be the original group's first full-length effort since 2000, is also planned. A new band photo can be viewed below. LIMP BIZKIT's first three albums have sold over 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, and another 13 million in the rest of the world.

Let's see. This guy, I guess, has his own band (Black Light something), then he quits (or something) and joins Marilyn Manson. Manson goes "now we have W. Borland, he used to be in an awful band but now he is in a great one", or similar. Now, seems to turn out, he's back with L. Bizkit...... Is this guy serious in the pure sense of the word or is he 5 years old? "Now I'm on this band but tomorrow in another and by the end of the week I don't know but don't be surprised if I decided to be a fireman (God help us)". What a moron.....

Considering Wes Borland has stated many times he can't stand Fat Freddy Durst and how he'd never go back with Limp Bizkit, this turnaround obviously shows a complete lack of artistic integrity and shows he's interested in nothing more than a fat payout.
I'm not sure Limp Bizkit are the band to save heavy popular music, since it could be argued they are one of the bands that contributed to the state it is in today and the sheer vacuousness of the genre as a whole. Durst himself is probably most responsible for Limp Bizkit's demise, with his pathetic and misoginistic lyrics.
I hope they fail... for the sake of the World.

I for one am psyched about this reunion. I could give a shit what these death metal close minded assholes have to say. 3 dollar bill was a kickass record then significant other war just as good but you could tell it was the downturn for this band which left wes no other obligation to leave. People only give this band shit because they're new heros tell them to. God only knows how many people went from being nu metal fans to metal hardcore posers on this site.

I must be one of the only people that like this band here, but I don't really understand this. Wes has slammed them so many times. As far as I'm concerned, he's lost all credibility.
He left the band, making fun of the music and Durst. The only motivation I can see for him returning is more money and fame. It just seems really hypocritical.

Too bad that he puts all the other guys´efforts to shame, cause those mfs can play some serious grooves.
Wes is loved by a legion, as seen here - me included, and he deserves to live off his art, so let the guy get some more money...
Since Durst is involved I doubt that the album will be a memorable piece of music, but I will be happy to hear Wes and the other musicians making some noise.
FEW guitar players have their own style and Wes delivers some serious riffs.

Onyx are putting out a crossover album. Everything old is new again. $2 dollar bills ya'all still has it's moments. The current scene is kinda stagnant right now. LB will bring some flava back into music. Did you note that no US dates were listed? It's all overseas locales? This new generation of concert goers isn’t interested in the show-off, over the top, too many styles melded into one sound bullsh1t that LB was notorious for. The original batch of fans would probably rather spend their night out taking the kids to a ‘Dora and Diego Come to Your City’ event than squandering it on a sub par performance from a washed up bunch of egotistical douche bags. Long gone are the days of 3 Dollar Bill when they were doing something different and exciting. That band’s gratitude and creativity departed almost immediately after their success arrived.

Kinda funny that they're reuniting even if they never OFFICIALLY broke up. And Eight years AINT SHIT for the "nostalgia" market. Kinda ridiculous, I believe its more common for a band to wait about 15-20 years, when their fanbase is actually nostalgic for them. its like if Maiden got Bruce and Adrian back in 1995 rather than 99. Actually, I should be shot for even mentioning Maiden in with those posers. My point is, if theyre doing this for nostalgia they're a bit early. The whole nostalgia thing is stuck in the eighties right now, still havent even crept up to early nineties yet (Well I did see some Zuba style pants on sale at a store the other day, freaked me out). These guys are tards, always are and always will be. "Save Metal"? Even Trivium are fucking beethoven compared to these lame ass bastards.
I bet we'll see a lot of county fairs with "Featuring Limp Bizkit" banners soon. I didn't even know the band still had fans.
I bet they couldn't sell out a fucking Port-A-Potty nowadays, not to mention a small club.

I keep hearing how hes this "underrated guitarist", and all that shit (like how he was "underutilized" and shit), and I never found any evidence to the contrary. Yeah he took a place in a show of hide of X-Japan (kinda sad really) but I'd like to hear how he can supposedly shred and shit. Ok, I havent heard much of his other work I'll admit.
But people act like hes holding back and all that, and its well known that guys like Dan Donegan (Disturbed) and even Morello to some extent are holding back (well Morello has always done solos but the point is he could shred alot more if he wanted to) but I'd like to hear the stuff that Borland is supposedly doing with that.
I am willing to bet the new Bizkit has guitar solos though, since they're "Trendy" now anyways. And probably less rap and more screaming (like Metalcore). Trendy ass douchebags they've always been anyway.
Fuck this band.

Robert plant was afraid of expectations.. That's not something to be commended.
I loved Limp bizket when I was a kid.. shit..Although This whole thing simply seems like it could make them more of an embarrassment then they already are.

People on this site are fucking stupid. We all get it you hate the fucking band. Seriously though this band is not that bad. I like when people talk shit about Limp Bizkit only when it's about the music from 2001- now. I remember way back when Limp Bizkit destroyed Woodstock 99 and made all the other bands look retarded. 3 Dollar Bill was an awesome record and so was Significant Other. I liked Chocolate starfish...it was great musicaly but fred's vocal style ruined that album and made the band a joke. Results May Vary was complete crap but Wes wasn't a part of the band at the time.

you know ,i remeber back in 97 something when i was 17and was experimenting with diferent music,and about that time really all metal icons wore dying out . i mean realy it wasnt good for metal at all .it was just nowhere around.then this so called nu metall arived and limp bizkit and realy it was something new .now nobody here would admit ,but even hardcore metalbangers dig limp ,but things got out of hands really quick ,they got new generations of teen and mtv liked that and whole thing become i big joke.and after a short while every oldschool metalbanger was probably thinkin like i did what the fuck am i on to listen to this fruit cake.
one good think off all of this is that i am thankful for this kind of bands and you should be to ,BECOSE somehow the realy pisfully awake old metal scene who was realy dying and now once again proper metal is coming back thanks to those fruit cakes

I have always dug Limp Bizkit! My first exposure to them was on September 10, 1997 when I saw them open up for Faith No More at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, OH. They instantly won me over!
The fifth and last time I saw them was on July 19, 2003 at The Ohio Stadium on Metallica's Summer Sanitarium, which is probably the best concert I have ever been to!! Metallica and Limp Bizkit in the same day, it doesn't get any better!! Unless, of course, Fear Factory got added to the bill ha ha!!
But yes, for cryin out loud, I am so stoked to hear about this!

I'm proud to say I've never liked this band from the day this guy in college handed me his headphones and said I should check them out. The album was Three Dollar Bill Y'All, the year was 1998 and I never looked at that guy the same way again. Terrible band.

because it's a clear sign that you hate a band when you recite their lyrics or change them around to sound like an insult... clearly it means you have listened to them enough to be able to recite their shit lyrics fucking 8 years later.
you guys might be in denial about this, but i'm sure you guys love limp bizkit. and in all honesty, i'd rather listen limp bizkit on the radio at work than disturbed/new korn/god smack, and i fucking hate all of those bands.
