WES BORLAND Says He Will Record New Album With LIMP BIZKIT

Guitarist Wes Borland — who has never been known to make contradictory statements in interviews and via his online postings — recorded a short video message last night (Friday, February 13) for the LIMP BIZKIT fan site The Armpit in which he confirmed that he will, in fact, take part in the recording sessions for a new LIMP BIZKIT album. "We are definitely back together," he can be heard saying in the clip, which is available for viewing below. "For all the non-believers, there is a new album, new tour, it's all going to happen. It's going to go off..." Bob Suehs of Rock N Roll Experience reported on his web site on Friday that Wes told him one day earlier about his involvement with the reunited LIMP BIZKIT, "I'm only doing the overseas shows with them as of right now, and as far as the new record, with those guys, don't believe it until you see it. As of right now, there's nothing happening; I'm only doing the shows overseas with them and we'll see what happens." Suehs tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "I spoke to Wes after his [February 12 performance in Towson, Maryland with his new band BLACK LIGHT BURNS]. He came over and hung out at his merch table and [those were] his EXACT words to me; there's no, 'maybe he said that.' I state my personal name on that quote and I'd take a lie detector test to prove I'm right." Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal announced on Thursday, February 12 via a press release that they were reuniting for a tour and new CD. The original lineup of LIMP BIZKIT was last active in the fall of 2001, after which Borland left the band to focus on his own music. Borland rejoined for the 2005 EP "The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1)", but left again shortly thereafter. LIMP BIZKIT was one of the most popular rock bands in the world in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Its first three albums have sold in excess of 20 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

probably just doing it so he can keep his Black Light Burns band going....I don't think they're making much $$$.
I hope Fred has matured with his lyrics and doesn't try to sing anymore....he has a great scream and was a cool frontman when he was pissed off at the world. Maybe he is done feeling sorry for himself and will get back to basics.
Big fan of $3 dolla and Significant Other(the others, not so much)....hope they can write something memorable and decent again for oldtimes sake.

On the bright side, maybe Manson will hire John 5 or even Daisy again!! Daisy was Manson's most underrated guitarist, but he played some killer riffs (all of Portrait and most of Antichrist)

I admit I liked them very early on and still do. Its not something I listen to everyday but they have very good songs.
Why does Wes have to make a decision??? Don't we all change our minds in life every fucking day??? Why is he held to a different standard? He has to pay his bills too and everyone on here who plays music was offered to play and get paid would do it....

to see how they're accepted. There was a time this band was on a killer roll. Then basically single handlly Durst brought so much hate on himself and the band they where ran out of the biz for the most part.
You listen through some of there albums and there is some decent/interesting tunes on every one of them. Overall they where much better then people ever gave them credit.
Hopefully this is all done with good attentions. I know Durst doesn't need the money as he has been quite busy behind the scenes with projects in and out side of the music business. Borland who knows as he has jumped all over the place. Other two haven't really read anything on for years.

Limp Bizkit in the end was making nothing. In fact it won't surprised me if they owed money. So many doors where slammed in there face at the end. Some brought on by themselves but some was because in the end they became the poster child for why Metal/Rap/Numetal sucked.
Would not surprise me if Borland would make more money in Manson in the short term.
This whole thing could just flop if the distaste is still out there.

Black Light Burns was a very credible musical project. He built his credibility through that. And signing up for Manson's guitarist position was very credible indeed.
And on Antichrist, Twiggy did write at least half of the guitar parts (the rest were written by Daisy and Trent Reznor), so I was misinformed that Daisy wrote most of the riffs. However he only played the parts which were unfinished when Berkowitz was kicked out of the band.
Still, I think he was an awesome guitarist and he should really be back with Manson now that the guitar position is available again. Though John 5 would be just as great :D

if it wasnt fred durst writing the lyrics and singing on choclate starfish it would actualy be a very good album, the riffs were intresting on most songs and the bass and drums were solid, it was only fred dursts whiney lyrics and shit vocals that took away from that album

Listen to "Cruel Melody", the guy is quite creative and while he's not a shredder he can write good parts/songs for several instruments. He's also a really gifted oil painter.

I'm a fan of Limp Bizkit, but they've always been a band to make fun. A lot of it was created by Durst with his "I love Limp Bizkit" and "Limp Bizkit is the best band" shirts and everything else he's said and done over the years.
The sheer arrogance, along with their not-so-serious lyrics, rapping and appeal with females, make them one of the easiest bands to make fun of. Especially for metal fans.
To me, it's great to have a band out there that stirs up shit. They're definitely a love'em/hate'em or LOVE TO HATE THEM kind of band, which is pretty fun either way.

I fully acknowledge that I am wasting time by expressing that you can't make me care about this bit of news. LB enthusiests will most likely be pretty excited though. Hopefully, for my own selfish sake, this won't oversaturate all media outlets - I do like to keep my distance from this kind of music which does not resonate well with me. I was in High School when Significant Other came out, and I did not feel I was missing out on much. Those sentiments remain. I was glad to see them go, and I do not anticipate much from their return.

Wes is a great guitarist. It's just unfortunate because in Limp he winds up spending most of the time with effects instead of just shredding. I'm interested in hearing what they can come out with. I used to be into them, so I'll go see em on the road. But I'm not gonna lie to myself like it seems some people are. This is happening primarily for the 3 dolla bill y'all. The Europe market obviously put up some big $$$ to get Wes to rejoin the band yet again.
I doubt they'll make it back to the US though. Fred and Wes can get along now that they have distance but once those shows start it's only a matter of time before Wes gets pissy with Fred's antics yet again.
They're not the highest point of music integrity, no. But my head nods and my feet tap away when their music comes on, so I'm not gonna hate on them like the people here who try to pretend they never dished out the $15 for 3 Dolla Bill, Significant Other, and Chocolate Starfish.

Hollywood Undead basically proves my point..that shit sold amazingly well. Face it morons, the new generation is craving this sound. If Limp Bizkit manages to create and catchy *rap rock* song it WILL sell..not to mention open the doors even wider than Hollywood undead has for the musicians creating this sound. Metalcore is falling quick..programming is getting more popular..economy is fucked. People will want angry ranting music, if the bands dont take advantage of this within the next 3 years the genre will be royally fucked...but we all know Limp knows this. Hooray for all for this pop music layed with dropped guitars.
