I miss my country after reading that Japanese text. CDs in Japan are overpriced as hell but they always do a nicer job of packaging than in America, even if they didn't go crazy with bonus tracks.
Maybe i'll pick this up in Japan next time I get to go back home.

I agree. Great band and I'm sure I'll be playing the CD a lot, but they haven't progressed and the stuff is repetitive of their old stuff. It seems like a stripped-down version of ashes: grittier production, less cool arrangements, similar style. It's nice cause the sound is different, so it feels new, but the songs just aren't quite as memorable as their most recent albums.

Better than Sacrament without a doubt. Very catchy songs, and Randy has gone crazy with some of his vocals. Yea a lot of people hate them for selling out, being a shit band, but they are great songwriters. This is a great album. 9/10

Everything in Sacrament from the WWMH to Blacken the Cursed Sun is gold, that's 7 great songs out of 11 songs. I don't get why you turds are bitching about Sacrament. Great album, this one though, is gold too, I agree with ^, very catchy songs.

With the anticipation level being as high as it was for this album the band didn't seem to deliver. I understand why the huge trend in American metal right now is to go back to an organic and CHEAP sounding album but this album could have sounded so much better! Wheres the mix depth!?! Everything is either loud or nonexistent. No in between at all!? It sounds like an album full of demo tracks. There is no excitement there at all! Some of the solo work is cool but even that is predictable as hell. Where's the patented LOG disorienting riffs and complex variation? From drum tone to vocal production, this album is a step backwards in every sense of the term. And say what you want about Sacrament but that is the bands most diverse, best sounding, best written, best produced and best played album. PERIOD!! There isn't 1 song on this album that sets itself apart from the rest as a standout. Nothing memorable. American metal bands need to start reinventing their vision when it comes to production quality and direction. There's a reason why for every 1 OK sounding American metal album there are 6 amazing sounding European metal albums. Wrath is the perfect example of backwards progress. Too bad cuz I had higher hopes for this...

People need to realise, this is Lamb Of God, this is what they sound like when the 5 members perform songs, this is their sound. So how can people say 'same ol same ol', of course it fucking is, they ain't reinventing the wheel.
Seeing them on Saturday, hope it is the same ol same ol, fkn killer!

Bro, I never get on blabbermouth and put people down or talk shit. Everything you just have wrote is your opinion, and I respect that. If you have listened to, or read any of the interviews regarding wrath, the band was trying to get back to their roots, and create a album that is raw, aggressive, catchy, and fucking heavy as shit, and honestly, they achieved all of those key points. Yes it is not as technical as older albums, and the production is not as polished as Sacrament, but for what the band is trying to achieve with this album, the sound and production fits perfectly. Sacraments production does and never will fit lamb of gods style. The album was necessary for them to record at that time because it was a new approach for them as far as the production goes. But none of the songs were even enjoyable to hear live. If you watch the Walk with me in hell dvd, while the band was recording the album, none of them seemed excited about it, especially chris adler. The guitar riffs were all over the place, the songs did not have much direction. Sacrament cathes a 7/10. Wrath Is a flawless Album and cathes a 9.6/10 Period. Every song makes me want to smash someones face in to brick wall. And once again, this is what Lamb of Gods sound started from in the beginning of there careers, from Burn the Priest to Ashes Of The Wake. Id give the album another try, listen to it about 10 times cranked up as loud as you can, driving around with your friends, smoking pot (if you do). You will enjoy it! :)

This is some of Chris Adlers best drum work of his career. He keeps on getting better and better with every album. That guy has no hobbies except for drums. He devotes all of his time and energy into drums, and with "wrath" I can see how his hard work has paid off. Randys vocals are the best of his career as well. The Guitar work is stripped down and a little less technical, but being that its less technical, it seems that the riffs are more catchy. Which is more important to me when writing a metal record. Good catchy songs will have more replay value. I cant even throw sacrament in my cd player anymore, the songs bore me. WRATH IS FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

I'm not going to buy it. The musicianship is good, the songs are good for what they are, but I got bored with it pretty quickly. It seems throughout the album that I am listening to Lamb of God play music written by other bands instead of by themselves.
I kept on wanting to hear something that would blow me away like every other lamb of god album did (besides Sacrament, which still kicked ass), but this is a stale 6/10 for me. Some songs were good, but most of it sounded like filler.

Richmond Fucking VA bitches. hah. This album owns everything that will come out this year.
Broken Hands, Reclamation, Deed Seeds, Fake Messiah, Choke Sermon, Grace are all Fucking badass angry, aggressive, and extremely heavy tracks. the whole cd is extremely heavy.
This is their best album tied with Palaces.

I agree with the last two posts. I didnt like it one bit the first few listens. However after a week or so of listening I will say it is the best album along side Palaces. Usually a good metal album takes about 1 -2 weeks to really appreciate. I find if I instantly like it, itwont last two long in my player. Great cd overall. Maybe 3 songs I feel so so about, the rest are killer!

Ahhhhhh I guess your right..... I just love this band and get excited over new albums. I guess it's not Flawless, I take it back. I wouldn't call it pussy-out though. And your right. As the palaces burn had the best guitar riffs, period. And yes, Thomas Haake is a fucking genius. But, I compare this album to a lot of garbage American that comes out, and it beats most of it that I have heard. I'm more into Euro Metal. Opeth, In Flames, At The Gates, etc. Anyway. I'm done writing. At least you were not a dick about your comments. Half of these fucking blabbers are dipshits. Later bro.

Havent heard that much from them but i like this song and some others i have heard. it sounds a little like Pantera wich fine by me. and its ok if they are a little of the same, at least they sound like Lamb of God and there arent many bands that sounds exectly the same so i hope they just keep on being themself. its similar with AC/DC, mostly the same but still no other bands sounds like them and thats the reason they have kept their popularity. but now we have Airbourne who are great to take over from AC/DC, and its good to have LAmb of God take over from Pantera, because we are not gonna get it from them. but i like Down very much

Im a big fan of Ashes and Sacrament, but this new album does nothing for me. I've had it for a couple of weeks and its yet to grow on me at all, it's just boring and generic sounding Lamb Of God. Was dissapointed because Contractor kicked ass, but I can't really say that about many of the other songs.

cause I do think Chris Adler is a great drummer... but the Lars "Tin Can" Ulrich snare drum sound they opted to go with here, for whatever insane reason I'll never know (after ALL the headaches/fallout Metallica dealt with on St. Anger) totally destroyed ANY potential this album did have early on.
I'd say this is definitely Lamb's weakest effort to date.. despite a couple good chuggers that did end up in the mix, these recordings are just way off the mark for these guys... who are supposed to be this kick ass metal band of their time.
It's plain to see now.. they just don't have the goods any longer.
