RAMMSTEIN To Begin Mixing New Album Next Month
- Feb. 19, 2009

German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN have updated their official web site with the following message:
"After finishing the first part of their studio recordings [for the new RAMMSTEIN album] successfully, RAMMSTEIN have started to put the final touches to their new songs. For example, they're thinking about the usage of strings and choirs. Therefore, the band sat down with the orchestra arranger Sven Helbig last week. Aside from the last musical changes, the final lyrical changes are being made, too. We're highly awaiting the next steps of the album production: the mixing of the songs. It is supposed to start mid-March and will take about six up to eight weeks."
RAMMSTEIN recorded the initial tracks for the new album in Los Angeles with Jacob Hellner and the production team of Ulf Kruckenberg and Florian Ammon. A studio was rented near San Francisco for the bulk of the main recording work.
RAMMSTEIN's "Völkerball" DVD was released in North America in September 2007. The disc features performances from France, England, Japan and Russia. The DVD was released in three different formats. The standard two-disc DVD/CD package contains a 140-minute live video and 75-minute live CD. The special-edition package also includes a tour documentary and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of "Reise, Reise". Finally, the limited collectors' edition contains four discs packaged in a 190-page book with photos from the tour.
RAMMSTEIN's last album, "Rosenrot", received its long-overdue U.S. release in March 2006 via Universal Music. The CD, which was certified platinum in Germany for sales in excess of 200,000 copies within two weeks of release in October 2005, topped the official album chart in Germany, Austria and Finland, and landed at No. 2 in Sweden and Denmark, No. 4 in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, No. 5 in France, No. 6 in Mexico, No. 11 in Italy and No. 29 in the U.K. In addition, "Rosenrot" achieved gold status in Austria, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

Shaden just wanted to show off his foreign metal knowledge. Like anyone cares. Rammstein lost their appeal a long time ago though. I guess this might be cool, though

We don´t care what you say... FUCK YOU!
As for the ones who say the band lost its appeal, we´ll see in the next album and world tour, you will shit your pants down. Cannot fucking wait for the new album and see them live again, this is gonna be awesome as always. This band NEVER disappoints, even with Rosenrot.

Knowing a bunch of foreign bands that not many have heard of doesn't make you any cooler, or any less of a douchebag... which you are coming off strongly as.
Don't click on news stories that you care nothing for.

It looks like he has nothing to write after we told him how it is! I don't understand why this guy is comparing KMFDM to Rammstein? And saying that Megaherz is better than them? I don't know what that's about, but he obviously dislikes Rammstein because they have had success and some airplay. I just hope the new album is better than Rosenrot because that album was a let down.
GWAR OWNS 2009!!

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys on the Pledge of Allegiance Tour with Slipknot in 2001. Simply amazing is all I can say. I have been waiting for the day that I can see them again and to see them HEADLINE their own tour. Can't wait to hear this album. Heres to hopefully seeing Rammstein in either 2009/2010!!

nursery rhymes, simple very basic music.... sick themes, and a singer with more of a spoken than singing voice with repetitive songs sung mostly in German.... that most people don't understand.... apart from Germans of course and those people who speak the language...
people would do anything to be hip, including forcing themselves to like something because it has a cool show with flamethrowers etc etc.... but when it comes to the songs........

or people like the riffs and like the fact that you don't need to speak German to enjoy the music. It's also hard to be hip when most people don't know who this band is outside of Du Hast and haven't listened to anything before or after 'Sehnsucht' came out
Comparing KMFDM to these guys just isn't right. Rammstein have always come off to me as a metal band with keyboards where as KMFDM comes off as a techno band with guitars. But hey, those are just my opinions.
And to the person who said they're banned in America, they're not. They just really aren't popular enough to bring their stage show over here. It's not like you can use a flame-throwing bow inside a club, ya know? Def. pick up Volkerball if you haven't, the tour footage is great and the documentary that comes with the deluxe package is excellent. You just have to be prepared to use subtitles unless you're fluent in German.

How in the world can you compare Deathstars to Rammstein? Deathstars is okay but no where near Rammstein! Just remember once there was a band called Swordmaster who is now known as Deathstars!
