Coqui: "We are very happy to be on stage opening for
MAIDEN. It is something that we didn't think would ever happen in our career."
Founded in Lima in the mid-'80s,
M.A.S.A.C.R.E. is considered to be one of the leading metal bands in South America. Since the release of the group's first album,
"Sin Piedad" ("No Mercy") in 1988, to the worldwide success of 2004's
"En Pie de Guerra" ("On The Warpath"),
M.A.S.A.C.R.E. remains one of the most powerful live acts around, having shared the stage with
QUIET RIOT,
PAUL DI'ANNO,
TRANSMETAL,
CRIMINAL and
RATA BLANCA, among others.
M.A.S.A.C.R.E. also represented Peru on the
V8 and
KRAKEN Latin American tribute albums, two legendary metal bands from Argentina and Colombia, respectively.
M.A.S.A.C.R.E. was recently interviewed by
Netjoven TV about the band's upcoming concert with
IRON MAIDEN. Watch the clip below.
