NIGHTRAGE To Enter Studio Tomorrow - Feb. 22, 2009
Multi-national thrashers NIGHTRAGE will enter Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden tomorrow (Monday, February 23) with producer Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES) to begin recording their fourth full-length album, "Wearing a Martyr's Crown", for a June 2009 release via Lifeforce Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Failure of All Human Emotions", "Among Wolves", "Opposite in Black", "Abandon", "Shed the Blood", "Wearing a Martyr's Crown" and "Mocking Modesty".

"Wearing a Martyr's Crown" will feature a guest appearance by former NIGHTRAGE and current FIREWIND guitarist Gus G..

Commented guitarist Olof Mörck: "So the time has finally come to record the new NIGHTRAGE album, and after a year of hard work on the album we'll enter the legendary Studio Fredman tomorrow to record 11 songs plus one Japanese bonus. For NIGHTRAGE, the style of this record represents a journey back to the first couple of albums, but it's in no way a step back musically; there are some quite interesting arrangements on this album, the songs are straightforward and in-your-face, and it features both searing melodies and sheer brutality. All in all, it's a clear nod back to when the Gothenburg melodic death metal sound was at its peak, in '94-'98 (something we think a lot of people will agree with us on). Expect more news and also a studio report and video clips from the studio soon!"

NIGHTRAGE's third album, "A New Disease Is Born", was released in April 2007. The CD was recorded at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, MERCENARY, FEAR MY THOUGHTS, HEAVEN SHALL BURN).

NIGHTRAGE in 2007 recruited singer Antony Hämäläinen to replace Jimmie Strimell.

NIGHTRAGE is:

Antony Hämäläinen - Vocals
Marios Iliopoulos - Guitar
Olof Mörck - Guitar
Anders Hammer - Bass
Johan Nunez - Drums
