KISS To Enter Studio Next Week - Feb. 26, 2009
KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley was a guest on the "Happy Hour" show this afternoon (Thursday, February 26) on the Fox Business network. During the segment, which can be viewed below, Stanley confirmed to that he, Gene Simmons and the rest of KISS will enter the studio next week to grind out a new record for release this fall. "It's a KISS album in the most true and classic sense — we're recording it in analog, not digital, and writing it ourselves," Stanley recently said.

Paul Stanley will unveil three new paintings at his Wentworth Gallery exhibitions this weekend.

Details of this weekend's Wentworth Gallery art exhibitions are as follows:

Friday, February 27, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wentworth Gallery
The Mall at Short Hills

No disrespect intended but to me KISS' legendary status is in a big way mostly due to their stage shows being ahead of their time. The songs just compliment the show.
I'm not A KISS fan but I would think anyone who is may prefer their focus to be on the performance rather than than new music.

and I reply:

Not always true. They were without makeup and most of the biggest stage FX for 23 years(!) and they wrote some great music in that timespan. And what got most of the fans back? The MTV UNPLUGGED show-- no fx, no makeup, and no running around onstage. Like it or not, they do have talent.

The focus changed somewhat with the newer guys, true.

I just hope they take more than a few weeks to get it done. The Japanese cover songs are underproduced and (to my ears) disappointing.

Not this Kiss fan. They screwed me over the last so called Kiss album where the original members only played on one out of twelve songs. pppffffttttt. They ain't getting my money.............

well, if 2 out of the four original members weren't: crying to their lawyers/fucked up on drugs(again)/capable of playing something new, etc, then maybe all 12 songs would've featured all the original members. Buy the album. You'll enjoy it. I promise

Awesome!

I think what they should do is bring in Ace and Peter to play on one or a couple of songs, just for fun. I don't think it will happen, but it would be cool.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this album, I'm sure it's gonna be great.

about Peter Criss! the band sounds better with a real drummer in Eric Singer.
Ace,however, did help write some of the better early classics.Besides now that he's clean(allegedly) it would be interesting to see what he can come up with.

Just forget Peter Criss,he's tired,old & whiney.
