SLIPKNOT: Canadian Tour Dates Announced - Mar. 9, 2009

SLIPKNOT has announced the following Canadian dates:

Apr. 28 - Quebec City, QC - Pavillon de la Jeunesse
Apr. 29 - Montreal, QC - Bell Centre
May 01 - Toronto, ONT - Ricoh Coliseum
May 02 - London, ONT - John Labbatt Centre

These shows will mark SLIPKNOT's first headline run in Canada since the release of the band's 2004 platinum-selling "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses" album.

On March 13, MTV will broadcast SLIPKNOT live in concert as part of its new "MTV World Stage" series. The show will feature the band's crushing performance at London's Hammersmith Apollo on December 3, 2008 and will be broadcast across the MTV network in over 160 countries.

U.K. viewers can see the show on MTV U.K. (Sky channel 350 and Virgin Media channel 311) at 11:00 p.m. on March 13. It will be broadcast in high definition.

SLIPKNOT's latest release, "All Hope Is Gone", has been certified gold for moving more than 500,000 copies since its arrival last August.

	Just thought i would let everyone know that they are coming to Canada for westren dates, they are in August, due to the fesitval circute they wanted to do the east first and come back after there done in europe for the west, dont you worry they havent forgotten us in canada, look out for dates probably in june/july but from what i hear its winnipeg, saskatoon, calgary, edmonton, vacouver, victoria. dont quote me but thats what its looking like! hope this helps everyone!

	the support bands for the canada tour are TRIVIUM and 3 INCHES OF BLOOD.

	i believe they will come back to do western canada. plus many would probably prefer seeing them during the summer anyway. it has been said, by corey taylor himself, that they will do 9 shows in total for canada. with the 4 dates already announced the remaining would most likely be winnipeg, saskatoon, calgary, edmonton, vancouver.
