WAYSTED Reform

UFO bassist Pete Way has reformed his mid-'80s band WAYSTED with original vocalist Fin and ex-UFO guitarist Paul Chapman.
Here is Pete's official statement on the matter:
"He 's back and he's bad and he means business!
"Yes, the king of chaos, the master of mayhem is back. Yes, Mr. Fin is back in town, due to a chance call from the great man just to say high. We got into a chat about WAYSTED. and I told Fin that Paul and I were getting together in Florida to try some new ideas. Then it seemed obvious! Let's do it together and have some fun!
"So there you go. Coming your way soon, more to follow."

"Vices" was a classic LP. This should be a good reunion. Don't think it'll be a blockbuster, but cool nonetheless.

Yes, I "get" it, you pompous asshole. His last name being WAY doesn't make it a good band name. Futhermore, not once did I make any disparaging remarks about the music itself. In fact, I did not mention the music at all, nor did I mention Slipknot, but thanks for sharing your opinion regarding their music.

Perhaps you should lighten up a little yourself. I just assumed since your name is iowametal you liked Slipknot. Sorry, maybe I was wrong, and I apologize for the insult. I still say Waysted is a great band, and I don't have a problem with the name. Now, Fastway on the other hand...

Actually, I like Slipknot a lot, so good assumption. Based on your enthusiastic support of Waysted, I will download some of their stuff this evening and check 'em out.

SO DID I wanst it the Somewhere on tour-tour?
I had the 86 Waysted album and vaugley remember LOVING it but dont recall the name of the album or what cuts were good. I seriously doubt that anyone would be trading them p2p though!

Good luck trying to download anything by them, it's rather hard to find. There are really two versions of the band, the one with Fin singing is superior in my opinion. The other version is the one that bjsrcool saw open for Maiden. (I saw that show as well) That version is ok, but rather bland and commercial. You can hear some samples on Amazon. Do a search for Waysted - Good the Bad the Waysted. (Hey, that's kind of a dumb name for a CD don't you think?) Ha!
I guess Slipknot's not all that bad.

what's going on with UFO now? first SCHENKER qiuts AGAIN! looks like this time for good. that paves the way for PAUL CHAPMAN to return.(who they should have got back 10 years ago.)and instead announce JOHN NORUM as their new guitarist and then a week or too later say he's not, and now PETE & PAUL are reforming WAYSTED. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ??!
