ZAKK WYLDE To Resume Work On New OZZY OSBOURNE Album In April

Zakk Wylde ( BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE) has told LiveDaily that he will return to the studio in April to continue work on OZZY OSBOURNE's new album, tentatively due in early 2010. "We started working on it already," Wylde said. "When we got off the road, everybody went home and decompressed a little bit — we did, like, 16 months or something like that on the road — and went home." He added, "After we get done with the [current BLS tour], we're going to go in the studio with Ozz and knock out a couple more songs and the album should be done. Then Ozz has to sing on it." In early 2010, Wylde said, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will head out on an arena tour with Osbourne and another band to be named later. "That's what we're talking about. We'll see if it happens," he said. saw Black Label last nite in Vancouver at the Commodore....the show kicked my ass!!! I even got my Gibson Custom Shop Zakk Wylde Les Paul signed by the man himself and the reat of the Society!!! Life is good today...now bring on Lamb of God April 8th!!!...& TeastAmenT in May now!!!

well, at least I'm tired of Zakk with Ozzy. Oz should bring in a new player. Someone on here suggested Jake E. Lee--that'd be cool but highly unlikely.
Zakk keeps coming back because it's good business, but it's getting boring....

I hope this album doesn't sound like another reject BLS album.
I used to have a ton of respect for Zakk, but his songwriting standards are REALLY low and generic now.
He's just gonna go "knock a couple more songs." I remember when Ozzy albums had amazing guitar hooks and solos....all well..

Hopefully this album isn't full of pinch harmonics that he does every 3 seconds to irritate the listener. Ozzy needs a new guitarist definitely!

Jake E Lee was great, but some songs on each record stunk.
Ozzy didn't use Zakk to write the last record from what I recall and it sucked so that wasn't his fault.
As others noted, the harmonics suck dick, but that's what happens when you concentrate on drinking beer instead of developing your guitar style.
Ozzy needs dark, fast and powerful guitar playing to accompany his brooding vocals. Not the hardest thing to do.

zakk did co-write most of the songs from the last album with the producer kevin churko. facing hell is an ok song. but i agree, ozzy needs a new guitarist. zakk's riff are all pretty much the same now. theyre just like DA DA da da DA DA pinch harmonic DA DA da da DA DA dadada
jake e lee would be an interesting choice because he was cool and he kinda disappeared after his time with ozzy.
but ive said it before and i'll say it again. he should get alexi laiho. that shit would shake it up.

Yes that would be an interesting choise. I don't know if he really is the man for the job though.
He could bring all the COB guys on tour and for this record. Laiho has always played in COB so how would he adapt on an all-american band, being ozzy at that?!

Does everyone who wrote negative comments here belong to the disturbed or avenged whatever the fuck they are called fan clubs because you obviously didn't grow up listening to OZZY. Sure he's out there,and just a little on the psychotic side, but you would be too if you snorted a line of ants. Without him, METAL would not be what it is. Man, no SABBATH would really suck.

Here's how I see it.
1) Diary of a Madman
2) Blizzard of Ozz
3) Ozzmosis
4) No More Tears
5) No Rest for the Wicked
Last album was pretty weak compared to these. I think I even liked the Ultimate Sin more than that. I know he's got it in him to do a great album. I just wish he wouldn't have taken so many years off after Ozzmosis because he was on a roll then.

I'm a hell of a lot more in anticipation of a new GOOD BLS LP...
Zakk's gonna really have to bring it on his next record. Let's face it "Shot to Hell" was titled that for a reason. Mafia was good but not the raw sound that made me fall in love with BLS like the Sonic Brew and Stronger than Death albums. Shot to hell was just real lackadazical effort(spelling error I'm sure) in my opinion. His not making any effort with his lyrics, to my the lyrics are just as much important as the music. Supposedly, he is having to have lyrics from Shot to Hell put on stage for him when he performs songs off of that album.
