SUFFOCATION: Performance Footage Of New Song Available - Apr. 5, 2009
Video footage of legendary New York death metallers SUFFOCATION performing a new song, "Mental Hemorrhage" (set to appear on the forthcoming CD, "Blood Oath"), on March 29, 2009 at The Boardwalk in Orangevale, California can be viewed below (clip shot and uploaded by Jess Schoppert). Also on the bill were PSYCROPTIC, VEIL OF MAYA, DECREPIT BIRTH and WHITECHAPEL.

Metal To The Max conducted an interview with SUFFOCATION guitarist Guy Marchais, bassist Derek Boyer and vocalist Frank Mullen on March 24, 2009 when the band played El Paso, Texas. Watch the eight-minute chat below.

SUFFOCATION entered the studio on January 31 with Joe Cincotta (who worked on the band's last two releases) to begin recording its new album, "Blood Oath". The follow-up to 2006's self-titled record will be mixed by Zack Ohren (ALL SHALL PERISH, DECREPIT BIRTH) and cover artwork will once again be brought to life by Jon Zig (DEEDS OF FLESH, DISGORGE, GORGASM). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Dismal Dream", "Undeserving", "Confines of Disillusion", "Blood Oath", "Come Hell Or High Priest" and "Provoking the Disturbed".

"Blood Oath" is tentatively scheduled for an early summer release in Europe and North America via Nuclear Blast Records.

...an 85 year old grandmother screaming "Bind, torture, Kill" while holding a headbanging two year old in her arms? By the way, my two year old son likes metal, because every time I play it he starts dancing
