MUNICIPAL WASTE: New Album Release Date Announced - Apr. 14, 2009
Virginian thrashers MUNICIPAL WASTE have completed work on their fourth album, "Massive Aggressive", with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (MADBALL, HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL, UNEARTH) for an August 24 release via Earache Records. The band has since hit the road for a six-week U.S. tour with LAMB OF GOD, AS I LAY DYING, CHILDREN OF BODOM and GOD FORBID.

Commented vocalist Tony Foresta: "The past week has been a real whirlwind for the WASTE. Last Tuesday we finished mixing our new album up in Massachusetts then jumped on a plane to Arizona the following morning to start our six-week tour with LAMB OF GOD."

Foresta continued: "The shows have been a lot of fun and the crowd have been really receptive towards us even though most of them have no idea who we are! The crowds have been massive. We have also been playing some new songs and the response to those has been really good. It's also great to be playing with our good friends SUICIDAL TENDENCIES again. They have been killing it every night on stage and have been a lot of fun to hang with after the gigs as well."

"Uranium", which is exclusively available on Fuse On Demand, recently sat down with MUNICIPAL WASTE to talk about their last album, "The Art of Partying", and their love of album artwork. The full interview is available all April long only on Fuse on Demand.

Watch a clip of the episode below.

Fuse on Demand is available on Cablevision, Comcast, Cox, Direct TV, Insight, Knology, WAVE, Metrocast, Hometown, Midcontinent and a whole bunch of other places across the U.S.

Metal doesn't always need to be taken seriously to be good. In fact, people who take their metal too seriously is one of the biggest problems of the genre these days. These guys are an awesome and fun band, not a mockery by any means. And yes they are a "real" thrash band.

Wow. To knock Municipal Waste and crossover bands and then imply Warbringer is good in a non-ironic way. Hmmm.

One of my friends said Municipal Waste stole riffs from Hirax, so now he hates MW now and he used to like them!

as far as stealing riffs...i dunno. the intro riff on hazardous mutation is VERY similar to the mosh riff in the middle of the title track on Vio-lence's Eternal Nightmare. i think it probly has more to do with them being influenced by these bands and not realizing it. ive written plenty of riffs i thought were original and then listened to something a week later and been like "fuck im totally ripping this off and didnt even know it." like to know what hirax riffs though.
