TESLA On Chicago's WGN-TV; Interview, Acoustic Performance Available - Apr. 16, 2009
California rockers TESLA took part in a live interview and acoustic performance earlier this afternoon (Thursday, April 16) at the studios of Chicago's WGN-TV. Their appearance is now available for viewing at WGNTV.com.

TESLA's latest album, "Forever More", sold more than 16,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 33 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on October 7, 2008 on Tesla Electric Company Recordings. The European version of the album, which was made available on November 7 via Frontiers Records, contains two bonus tracks not found on the American version.

For "Forever More", TESLA reunited with producer Terry Thomas, who was behind the boards for the band's 1994 gold-certified "Bust A Nut" album, and engineered by Michael Rosen who worked with TESLA on "Into The Now".

TESLA's third DVD, "Comin' Atcha Live! 2008", received a European release on December 5 via Frontiers Records. Released in the U.S. on July 15 on the band's Tesla Electric Company Recordings label (in partnership with Ryko Distribution), it's TESLA's first DVD in 17 years (since 1991's "Five Man Video Band") and is filled with over two hours of live music, over an hour of special behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen material, including footage of TESLA interacting with fans, giving viewers a personal tour of Seattle, and an up-close look at their touring equipment and guitars. The DVD was filmed at the Myth nightclub in Maplewood, Minnesota on February 22, 2008.

Bottom Line: Great band but Forever More was weak. Into The Now was more like the real Tesla. They should stay away from Terry Thomas as producer. He worked magic with Bad Company in the 80's and 90's but he's not good for Tesla as evidenced by the new CD and Bust A Nut, their other weak album.
