SLASH Performs 'It's So Easy' With AVENGED SEVENFOLD; Video Available - Apr. 17, 2009
Former GUNS N' ROSES and current VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash joined Orange County, California's AVENGED SEVENFOLD on stage at last night's (Thursday, April 16) concert at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for a performance of the GN'R classic "It's So Easy".

Fan-filmed video footage of Slash's appearance can be viewed below. Also available is a photo of AVENGED SEVENFOLD's setlist for last night's show.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD singer M. Shadows is rumored to have recorded a guest appearance on Slash's upcoming solo album, which the guitarist is tracking with former NINE INCH NAILS drummer Josh Freese and ex-JANE'S ADDICTION bassist Chris Chaney. Slash's wife Perla Hudson said in a video interview at Rockerrazzi.com that both Ozzy Osbourne and Fergie (a.k.a. Stacy Ann Ferguson) of the BLACK EYED PEAS will also appear on her husband's solo CD.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD will finish its current U.S. tour with an epic SoCal show at the San Diego Sports Arena on April 17. AVENGED SEVENFOLD will also perform at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 18 with special guests ATREYU and REV THEORY. This will be the last chance to catch the Orange County quintet until 2010, marking the end of a hugely successful touring cycle as the band heads into the studio to work on their next album once the tour is finished.

The band is touring behind the self-produced "Avenged Sevenfold", which topped the Billboard Alternative, Hard, and Rock charts the week after its release in October 2007. It also won the award for "Best Album" at the 2008! Kerrang! Awards. The follow-up to 2005's million-selling "City of Evil", "Avenged Sevenfold" debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, marking the biggest sales week ever for the quintet. The album has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

M. Shadows thinks he's Axl and Avenged Sevenfold think they are Guns n Roses. They arent and they fail. They should stick with making music like City of Evil. That album was killer. Their latest sucked serious ballsack.

If you listen to any of this singers' "raps" or talks to the crowds, he CLONES Anselmo from Pantera. Every word, every line, even the actual tone of his voice. Almost like he stood in front of a mirror and tried to copy Phil's raps to a tee. Cool nod to Phil but pretty damn unoriginal. Pretenders.

On the contrary to most people here, i favourize their latest album. I love the blend of melody and heaviness. I've seen them live. M. Shadows sings pretty well. Their overall performance live and in the studio is technically brilliant as well.

And who can blame the guys for copying Pantera? Pantera practically created the entire metalcore genre (or at least the foundation for it). It's like blaming a thrash band for copying Slayer and Metallica. Most thrash bands do about the same thing on stage as one (or both) of these bands.

seems like it's really sinking in for slash that he will never play these songs with axl again, so he'll play them with anyone else who wants to. really, it seems like anyone.

if a band wants to do a guns n roses cover, great.. but having slash come out doesn't make me happy for some reason, it's fucking depressing. it's so weird and desperate, like he's a party clown.

bet that hat smells.

eventho Slash isn't the most technical guitarist out there, he is one of my favorites. For me, he has the 'it' factor. Alot of young guitarists think "watch me play this fast pentatonic guitar solo and everyone will think I am great", where as Slash just does his thing... weather it suits you or not. The man has written some of the coolest licks of the last 20 years.

Someone above said Slash isn't GNR.... this might be true, but i think the majority believes otherwise. Personally when I listened to the latest GNR, I had a hard time believing it WAS GNR.
