Former
GUNS N' ROSES and current
VELVET REVOLVER guitarist
Slash joined Orange County, California's
AVENGED SEVENFOLD on stage at last night's (Thursday, April 16) concert at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for a performance of the
GN'R classic
"It's So Easy".
Fan-filmed video footage of
Slash's appearance can be viewed below. Also available is a photo of
AVENGED SEVENFOLD's setlist for last night's show.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD singer
M. Shadows is rumored to have recorded a guest appearance on
Slash's upcoming solo album, which the guitarist is tracking with former
NINE INCH NAILS drummer
Josh Freese and ex-
JANE'S ADDICTION bassist
Chris Chaney.
Slash's wife
Perla Hudson said in a video interview at
Rockerrazzi.com that both
Ozzy Osbourne and
Fergie (a.k.a.
Stacy Ann Ferguson) of the
BLACK EYED PEAS will also appear on her husband's solo CD.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD will finish its current U.S. tour with an epic SoCal show at the San Diego Sports Arena on April 17.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD will also perform at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 18 with special guests
ATREYU and
REV THEORY. This will be the last chance to catch the Orange County quintet until 2010, marking the end of a hugely successful touring cycle as the band heads into the studio to work on their next album once the tour is finished.
The band is touring behind the self-produced
"Avenged Sevenfold", which topped the
Billboard Alternative, Hard, and Rock charts the week after its release in October 2007. It also won the award for "Best Album" at the 2008!
Kerrang! Awards. The follow-up to 2005's million-selling
"City of Evil",
"Avenged Sevenfold" debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, marking the biggest sales week ever for the quintet. The album has been certified gold by the
Recording Industry Association of America.
