KREATOR To Take Part In Japan's 'Thrash Domination' With TESTAMENT, EXODUS
- Apr. 20, 2009
German thrashers KREATOR will take part in the "Thrash Domination 09" tour of Japan in September. The dates are as follows:
Sep. 17 - Osaka, Japan - Big Cat (w/ TESTAMENT) Sep. 18 - Nagoya, Japan - Club Quattro (w/ EXODUS) Sep. 19 - Kawasaki, Japan - Club Citta * Sep. 20 - Kawasaki, Japan - Club Citta *
With TESTAMENT, EXODUS, HEATHEN
KREATOR's new album, "Hordes Of Chaos", sold around 2,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 165 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 7 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Hordes Of Chaos" had a commanding first week at radio, roaring out of the box to grab the #1 "Most Added" slot on both the CMJ Loud Rock chart and FMQB's Metal Detector chart. The album made a rare first-week jump into CMJ Loud Rock's Top 10 with a #10 debut along with an impressive #16 debut on FMQB.
The CD was released in three different versions. The jewel case edition includes the ten regular album songs, and the deluxe version features an additional bonus DVD with an atmospheric making-of in super-8 quality courtesy of a Berlin filmmaker. As a third option, the ultra-deluxe version comes with a t-shirt, a worthwhile photo book and an extended version of the bonus DVD, as well as the CD.
The "Hordes Of Chaos" artwork was created once again by Joachim Luetke. Luetke designed the artwork for KREATOR's last album, "Enemy Of God", as well as past releases from bands like DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY and RAGE.

Just saw Exodus/Kreator last night in Winnipeg...amazing show. Exodus is progressively tighter a unit every time they've come, and Dukes is now doing more than justice for the songs, especially blacklist and shepherd. Kreator was top-notch as well, though both bands could've played longer. But throw Heathen and Testament on the bill as well and you've got a show made in thrash heaven. According to Dukes, they've discussed touring with Heathen, so who knows, maybe we'll get a North American thrash of the titans many years removed from the original.

I want to see a big thrash bill in the states sometime.. I'm gonna see Kreator and Exodus on the 30th, and I'm excited as hell for that, 1st time seeing Exodus and 3th seeing Kreator - they've been amazing every single time. I want to see Kreator, Exodus, Testament, Slayer, Soulfly, and perhaps Sodom play together - that would be an epic-ass show.
