AEROSMITH members Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Joey Kramer will talk about their upcoming tour on this Wednesday's (May 6) edition of "Entertainment Tonight". AEROSMITH is seriously considering playing one of its classic albums in its entirety on the band's upcoming tour with ZZ TOP, according to VH1 Classic Radio. Joe Perry said, "Well, let's just say we're closer to it than ever before. I'm not sure which record it would be, but we've kind of narrowed it down. I bet we'll end up doing it but we won't know until we're in the actual rehearsal studio." Asked which album he'd like to play, Perry replied, "I think 'Toys In The Attic' would be fun. We do a lot of songs off the first four records anyway. We've jammed on 'Uncle Salty' onstage a few times. I don't know. The later records with more songs on them, they would take up too much time in the set. We need to leave some room for some of the other standards."

"Toys In The Attic", AEROSMITH's third album, was released in 1975 and is one of their most successful efforts. It includes the classic singles "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion", as well as "Adam's Apple", "Big Ten-Inch Record", "Round And Round", "Uncle Salty" and the title track.

If AEROSMITH does play one record from front to back on this tour, they'll join the ranks of other classic rock artists doing the same this summer. MÖTLEY CRÜE plans to perform 1989's "Dr. Feelgood" in its entirety, while JUDAS PRIEST is going to blast through all of 1980's "British Steel".

AEROSMITH will hit the road on June 10 in St. Louis, with ZZ TOP joining the bill on June 16 in Boston. The trek follows an extended time off for AEROSMITH in which Perry had to have knee surgery twice and singer Steven Tyler was afflicted with foot damage, pneumonia and hepatitis C. Tyler admits that getting back onstage will be a challenge. "It took us a year to lick our wounds, and then Joe's foot went south again," he said. "And, you know, my feet hurt like hell, so I'm gonna have to, you know, take it a day at a time. We're gonna have some therapists come out with us, you know, and do whatever we gotta do. We're gonna do it, that's all, you know. The only way out is through."

A total of around 30 stops are planned for the tour, with the trip extending into mid-September. AEROSMITH will play some of the shows solo, including an August 5 gig at the annual Bike Week rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Although AEROSMITH has begun work on a new studio album, progress on it was halted due to the band's health issues and the upcoming tour. The group plans to resume work on the new disc after the summer trek is finished.
