Wanna 'Open' For AEROSMITH? - May 5, 2009
AEROSMITH's official fan club, AeroForceOne, has issued the following update:

"Rock icons AEROSMITH with special guest ZZ TOP are gonna wreak rock 'n' roll havoc this summer on a massive U.S. tour! And you could be the opening act. Time to put your Guitar Hero skill to the ultimate test. This isn't your living room couch — it's the real deal! Two worthy fans will perform playing Guitar Hero: Aerosmith on stage as the opening act before the show roars onto the stage — one winner from online and one from radio will be chosen in each city. If that taste of rock stardom weren't reward enough, the winner from each city also wins two tickets to the show, a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith game pack, and a personal congrats from Steven Tyler and Joe Perry before the show! (For the winner only, not their guest)

"Your moment of rock glory will be captured on video and posted to Aeroforceone.com and the AEROSMITH YouTube channel — let your friends try to top that!"

seriously, im not payin 200 bux for a show where the opening act is guitar hero players,

much respect to them, but really this isa live concert for fucks sake, not some video game awards show or whatever, and besides why can aerosmith only congratulate the winner n not their guest??? what kind of fucked up bullshit is that, why bring a guest then??? killer show tho for sure.

that sucks, its just an advert for their lame cash in on guitar hero, wtf, what about getting a REAL band and letting them have a chance at an amazing experience, not a pair of kids playing toy guitars in front of a crowd of people who paid to see real music,

do they even know what you look like playing GH?!? you look like a fool, yeah, its fun to play, but it's certainly not a spectator sport, unless you're really beast, in which case you should've spent your hours learning to express yourself, not hit buttons like a robot

COMMENT | Isn't Guitar Hero sponsoring this tour is something?

I'm sure I read somewhere that Guitar Hero was involved with some way in this tour, but nobody is going to want to see two guys playing Guitar Hero as an opening act, and personally I'd be too embarrassed to have my "rock glory" filmed and posted on the internet if I had to do it.
